Hi everyone and Happy Wednesday! This past weekend we attended an engagement party, which was coincidentally our first engagement party. I wasn’t sure what the “rule,” was on gift giving- but, I didn’t want to show up empty-handed. Which also meant that I would also want to ‘craft’ something for the gift as well.
I decided to give small, thoughtful gifts that pertain to getting engaged and planning a wedding.
I didn’t get a chance to take a good photo of the gift- but, snapped this quick photo on my iphone. (Can you see my latte on the left?)
The fun snakeskin basket came from Target, and the glass mugs I personalized with glass-etch vinyl. This is a much quicker way to give a glass-etch look without using the glass etching cream. They say “Bride” & “Groom”.
I included a Bridal magazine, post-its and pens for all the planning, ring cleaner, champagne, and a frame that I personalized with their initials.
Simple yet really thoughtful! I think they really liked it. 🙂
Also, I wanted to add one of our family photos that we took a couple weeks ago. Have you taken your family photos this fall?
Your gift basket looks wonderful. I love building baskets for family and friends.
Love the family photo! Im glad you posted – Ive been worried about you since you haven’t been around in a while – I assume you are super busy with the kiddos! Hope all is well?!!?
bunches of love

Love this! I think these types of gifts are the best. They’re really fun to open too. For my bridal shower, one of my friends gave me a pizza box. I was so confused, but when I opened it, there were all the necessities to make pizza at home including an AirBake pizza pan, a pizza cutter, pizza sauce, two kinds of spices, an oven mitt, and a recipe.
That’s a FAB idea!! I might use that one, in the future!
