Halloween Onesie

Hi everyone and Happy Monday!  Hope you had a beautiful weekend!  We had family photos here, which was a bit of a crazy affair–but, we got it done. 🙂

This past week I decided to make Grayson a Halloween onesie.  I used my Cameo to cut out this cute ghost figure out of white minky fabric.  The ghost is from PPbN Designs, that I bought in the Silhouette store.  It cut so much nicer than I thought it would.  Remember, when you want to cut fabric- you need to use Heat n’ Bond to stabilize the fabric.  It also allows you to iron your fabric onto your onesie, if you don’t want to sew it on.

I chose to sew the ghost on- using my sewing machine.  Then I cut out his name using a Halloween argyle fabric I picked up at Joann’s.  I wish I had just plain orange, but it served the purpose.

I did NOT sew this part on- because it would require a lot more turning!  HA!  I am a lazy sewer!  I will just be sure to was it inside out on a gentle cycle.  Truthfully though, how much is he really going to wear it?

Oh–and if you are looking for black onesies- Hobby Lobby!

I love how it turned out- and I am slowly adding to my fabric stash, one fat quarter or 1/2 yard at a time!
