Keep Calm

Hi everyone and Happy Wednesday!  Hope everyone is having a great week!  We are having a heat wave here in Iowa, and it’s been almost unbearable to be outside too long.  I am thankful for air conditioning at home & at the kids’ school.  Not every school has air conditioning around here, so kids have been getting out early, or teachers have resorted to popsicles as well as ice cubes & water during class.

Speaking of school I wanted to make some tumblers for my daughter’s teacher and her other 3rd grade teaching team members.  So, I made these KEEP CALM tumblers, quick and they LOVED them.  Now to come up with something cute for my little 1st grader’s teacher!

I really love the purple tumbler for some reason-and I am typically not a purple girl.  You guys know that though!

I also wanted to put their names on them, because when I was teaching I loved having things personalized.

It’s almost time for me to make another vinyl order too….hmm…what colors to get?

For my fellow gym goers- I am still working out!  They have brought in TRX workouts in our rotation which is a suspension workout.  Whoa–super difficult right now.  Hoping it gets easier.  It looks like this, except imagine also putting your feet in these for other exercises.

The night after this workout, I felt a soreness in muscles I didn’t know I had. Ouch.  The next day was Kickboxing, and I can feel myself getting stronger.  Today I will be skipping my workout, because I have an eye appointment & I am taking the kiddos swimming instead.  But, I’ll be back at it tomorrow morning.  I am not dropping a ton of weight, but I do feel better and have more energy.  So, I’ll take it.

Have a great Wednesday everyone!

  • These are great! I like the purple one best too, but then again I love purple to begin with. What a great saying you used on them. I’m a homeschooling mom, and I’m thinking perhaps I should make myself something that says that.

  • these are so cool. My daughter has a male teacher for the 1st time and I am at a loss for teacher gift ideas. These would be great. Here are a few questions…
Where did you find the tumblers?
How did you transfer so many smallish letters to a rounded object?

This project is begging for a video…hint, hint

  • I’ve not tried TRX but it looks HARD! Keep it up. The weight will come off or change to muscle! For me it is really about being tone (which gets harder and harder as I age) and the ENERGY! feeling good and energized keeps me going back!
