Hi everyone and Happy Thursday! I am going to start off today with some baby news.
Yesterday I had a doctor’s appointment- and baby is measuring good and the heartbeat is good. Now, if he’d just give me enough room to feel like I could catch my breath! 🙂 We got the crib set up this week- I actually did it with the kids, against Mr. Pink’s wishes. But, I just get impatient sometimes- and I was careful. (Ps. I already have an idea of what I’d like to do above the crib in vinyl!)
(I took the picture at night)
As far as cravings go- I am just really thirsty all the time. I have also been craving lots of fruit and beef….as in steak and cheeseburgers. The cheeseburgers have to have pickles and mustard on them- and no onions. I still indulge in chocolate peanut butter ice cream and cookies- though, I’ve moved past Oreos. Also, I haven’t been craving Pancheros burritos either. (I just realized that!) Doctor says my weight is good- but, I feel HUGE!
We have about 7 weeks left–crazy, I know! I still feel like I have so much to do and get before baby gets here. One thing baby has enough of and won’t need is shoes! Here are a few pair of shoes our baby on the way already has in his collection.
Sperry’s to match his mom’s, sister’s and big brother’s
Also, since my babies tend to run on a little bit of the big size, the doctor has called for another ultrasound in 3 weeks- to measure baby and make sure he isn’t getting too big…so, I am anxious to see how that goes!
That’s it for baby news- for now, but I promise to keep you updated in the next 7 weeks.
As for today’s crafty section–I wanted to use Pantone’s Color of the Year in a project. If you haven’t heard, the color of 2013 is Emerald, which is actually a color I really like. I like it because it is my birthstone, and the birthstone of my daughter. I like it because I simply like green- and because I look really nice in emerald tops and dresses. 😉 So, good choice Pantone!
One thing I did notice though, is that although I wear this color and am drawn to it when shopping- I am not drawn to it when I am crafting. Kind of weird, huh?
Anyway- I dug through my craft room- to find emerald pieces for a card that I wanted to do using the new Anna Griffin Acanthus Cuttlebug folder I bought at Joann’s a week or so ago. I had some American Crafts Emerald Card stock and some Mistletoe Crinkle ribbon from 3 Girl Jam. What I love about their ribbon actually, is that it is not TOO crinkly. I love crinkly, but sometimes I want something a little softer looking.
So, using those things- here is what I came up with:
Don’t you love that embossing? SO pretty! The green of my ink doesn’t quite match the emerald of the ribbon- so, I might have to look for a more ’emerald’ looking ink. The ink I used was Clover Meadow from Close to my Heart, and the sentiment is from this month’s Pink by Design Stamp of the Month.
So, in 2013- I am going to try to use Emerald Green more often in my crafting. So, that means I definitely need an emerald ink. If you know of the perfect one, let me know. I also secretly hope this little baby has emerald as his birthstone…which means he will come in May. 😉
Thanks for stopping by–and have a great Thursday!!
