Quick Cards using DCWV 6×12

Hi everyone and Happy Thursday!  We are supposed to start getting snow this afternoon and it is supposed to snow all through the night and all through tomorrow. 🙂 I can’t say I am not ready for Spring, but I love snow too!

Since I’ve been working with fabric and painting the baby’s room…I haven’t had a ton of time to  paper craft, but I did need a couple of quick cards.  I thought the new DCWV 6×12 Chickadee was PERFECT to make a couple quick cards.  Not only are the colors gorgeous in this stack, but the pretty scalloped edges make a fun and pretty card!  You can find this stack for yourself at Michael’s.

DCWV Chickadee

I took 2 sheets of the double sided paper and folded into cards, trimming the excess.  I used the excess for the sentiments and hearts later.  The paper is double sided with coordinating patterns and then AS WELL as having a coordinating scalloped border at the bottom of the paper.  So 3 patterns in one sheet–LOVE!

I used one of my FAVORITE  sentiments from Pink by Design February Stamp of the Month, for both cards.  Then I used my Stampin’ Up heart punch to make a couple hearts for the corner of the cards.

I cannot tell you how much I love the colors of this stack–so very pretty!  I love that DCWV is adding some different size stacks- for all you 6×6 addicts out there—DCWV has some MUST HAVES!

Okay, if you are getting snow where you’re at – Stay Warm!  And, if you are in a warm state…then soak up some sun for me!! Have a great Thursday everyone!

  • How cute! I have yet to see the 6×12 stacks. It looks like a very good size to use and to store. I think I’d be more willing to cut into it and use it. I have only a few 12×12 DCWV stacks, and they’re still in perfect condition, haha.

  • Quick cards that look fabulous . Thanks for sharing. I am on vacation in SC but it isn’t as warm as I thought it would be. I will try to soak up some sun for you but I can’t make any promises. At least is is warmer than my home state of NJ.
