Cricut Craft Room Tutorial & Valentine’s Card

Hey everyone, and Happy Wednesday!!  I hope you are having a great week!!  Today, I actually have a video for you using Cricut Craft Room.   Some of you may know, but others of you may not….Cricut Craft Room is a free downloadable software to use with your Cricut machines.

You can use it kind of like you would a Gypsy, except it’s on your computer.  Plus, they have ‘digital’ files you can download onto Cricut Craft Room (CCR) that are available at Cricut.com.  Although some of these files can be found on cartridges, a lot of them are exclusive to CCR.  For today’s project, I am using this one which is a digital exclusive.

For this sweet card I used DCWV’s Coral Couture, one of my FAVORITE Stacks from them.   You can find it at Joann’s for $9.99 right now. 🙂

So, tell me…do you use Cricut Craft Room? Would you like to see more videos on it?

  • Great card Sarah. Thanks for sharing. I do use the Cricut Craft Room but I prefer my gypsy purely because I”m used to it. I would love to see more videos on the craft room. Thanks again.

  • Great job on your video showing the Craft Room. I have not used the Room…now that I see how easy it is to use I will likely give it a try. Great card!

  • Sarah… please continue to encourage us to use CCR … having a gypsy I rarely bring the computer into the craft studio… Thanks for a great vid and better understanding of how it works… how do you link your cartridges to it? Just tell it or physically link like the gypsy??? Thanks! Kathi

    • Kathi, you link them physically with your cricut. But, right now you have to link to ccr first and then to your gypsy. They are looking for a way to link already linked gypsy carts to ccr. Hopefully, this will be possible this year. I will for sure keep you updated!

  • Great video! I’d love to see more about CCR. I sold my old Expression to get a new E2, and I have no idea how to use it. I used CCR for a while, until it quit working after a software upgrade…frustrating. This makes me want to dust it off and get it going again. 🙂

  • I love Cricut Craft Room. I use it most of the time now because it is so much easier to plan out my cuts on the computer first. Sometimes I even just use it to look up images. I find it very user friendly. I also received a Portrait for Christmas but have not cut with it yet. I find the CraftRoom more user friendly but maybe that is just because I am used to it. Would love more videos.
