Natural Girl

Hi everyone and Happy Wednesday!  Today I have a double page layout for you- featuring pictures I snapped of my little girl at the park, on a regular day, doing regular things.  I love these types of pictures the best because at her age, the smiles seem more genuine and natural–the camera can capture laughs, giggles, coy looks, and more….

I used DCWV Card stock (brown), Echo Park This & That Collection (polka dots and brown graph), Simple Stories Fab{u}lous collection, canvas material, burlap material, Tim Holtz Bigz Tattered Florals for canvas and burlap, shell buttons, Memento Rich Cocoa ink, Pink by Design My Type stamp set, Pink Paislee Wood Shop Alphabet (wood chip) and twine.

Using the Bigz die and Tim Holtz Vagabond- I cut out several flowers in both canvas and burlap material. I’ve found that bigz dies cut through all kinds of fabric with ease.   I layered the flowers using zots, and topped them off with shell buttons.  I don’t always mix paper lines, but these 2 went together well- and I liked the natural colors that were still girly. To give some added dimension I fan folded the pink patterned paper strip, and adhered down with foam squares.  I also stamped right onto the canvas- I love the way this looks with regular memento ink before cutting the fabric.

Love my sweet, natural, girl.

How about you?  Have you been working on any layouts lately?
