Happy Monday & Master Crafter update!

Hi everyone and Happy Monday!  I hope you all had a nice and beautiful weekend!  The weather here was perfect, and we spent the weekend celebrating Mr. Pink’s birthday.  We didn’t do anything huge, or over the top– just spent time as a family.  We did get to sneak out for a date, while my parents watched the kiddos overnight- so that was a nice change of pace for us. 🙂
On Friday, I put this cute little card set together.  I found these cute puffies stickers at my Tuesday Morning- and thought they’d make a great notecard set. 🙂  So- I cut 3×3 inch cards in chocolate card stock and added a light pink mat cut at 3.75 x 3.75.  Grosgrain ribbon from Maya Road, the stickers and sentiments from Pink by Design Say it Sweet, and I had a quick set of sweet cards!

This would make a great little gift, don’t you think?  For a non-card-maker.

The stickers are by KI Memories- soooo cute!

I just love that little winking cupcake! 🙂

MasterCrafter Challenge Update:  I will keep you posted- but, the last package should be here today and all boxes will then go out to our 100 participants and… for the rest of you, stay involved and tuned in because we will need your votes – and you will want to try to get signed up for the next one, if all goes well!!

We have about 10-15 international participants and  I’ve been talking to a few int’l friends, to see how long it takes to get their packages typically from the United States- and it is longer than I thought.  So, since I want to be sure that the international participants have plenty of time to get their packages I am pushing the date of the linking up and voting back a little.  Please understand, I am just trying to be fair to all participants and how you would feel if you couldn’t get your package in time for our fun event 😉

Please note the changed dates below:

After you get your box, then you start crafting. On October 4th at 12:01 am CST , I will provide a Inlinkz on this page, for all participants to link up their projects. We can’t link up sooner, because I want everyone to have the same amount of time.
Voting will begin at 12:01 am on the 4th as well, and will last for one week, until October 11, 2012 at 12:02 am CST.
Prizes will be announced Friday, October 12th, 2012. The one with the most votes, will be declared the MasterCrafter and will have a special button to display on their blog as well as a real button to wear!

This will give the United States participants lots of time to create, but I know our international participants will be up for the challenge in their slightly shorter amount of time.  These will be the FINAL dates, and there will be no more push backs.

I also said, I would let you know of more prizes, as the challenge went on— so, today I wanted to announce that the Winner of the Master Crafter Challenge – (the one who receive the most votes, overall) will also be receiving an Official Master Crafter Tumbler- to let everyone know of your Master Crafter status!  This tumbler was made and sponsored by 3 Crazy Monkeys – you can stop by her facebook page here, if you want 😉

Loving these colors on the tumbler! 🙂

  • Such a cute set of mini cards! I think I’d want to keep those for myself and just never use them. That’s the danger of cutie things like those puffies, haha.

Yay for almost getting the box! The push back in date might benefit me too, haha, since the school year has begun. Are you going to take an Instagram pic of all the boxes ready to go??? 😉

  • I think it is great to change the dates and accommodate everyone! Thank you for doing all of this Sarah! I can’t imagine what 100 boxes looks like in any room of my house – so it is a huge thing you are pulling off and I appreciate it!
    Have a great Monday!

  • AWESOME!! I am certain everyone will be understanding! It should be fair and I think we are all just SOOOOO Excited!! 😉

<3 Hope Kyle had a fantastic birthday, and you two had a wonderful date night! Miss you 😉

  • What a cute idea. I would never have thouhgt to go to Tuesday morning or to use these this way. TFS. I am one of the lucky 100 and I can’t wait to get my hands on all the goodies in my box,but having a little bit longer to come up with a project is always nice. Thanks for this ooportunity to craft with you. God bless.

  • This should be fun — excited to get the box and begin the creative juices flowing!!! It is admirable that you have considered all aspects of fairness as it will be fun and interesting what the international entries in addition to the the U.S. will be like as they may also give new inspiration and ideas.

  • Yay!! I was kinda wondering how it would work for us out of the US. Thanks for thinking of us, and thanks to everyone else for your patience!!!! 🙂 Super cute cards, by the way!!!

  • The mini-card set is adorable. How would you make envelopes for it? I always have a hard time figuring envelopes for cards that are not the standard size, but, especially if you were to use this set as a gift, you’d want to put envelopes with it, no?

  • I love your little cards! Those puffy stickers are just too cute – I think the cupcake is my favorite 🙂 I use my cricut to make die cut cards and love that my cartridges also make envelopes to go with them 🙂
