National Balloon Classic

Hi everyone and Happy Friday! Yesterday was a great day- we stayed super-busy.  We played in the pool, finished off the sugar cookies mom decided to make late Wednesday night, we walked to the park (which I realized 96 degrees was hotter than it sounded when you are sitting in air conditioning or in the pool!), Mr. Pink brought me Starbucks, then we went to the National Balloon Classic.  It was the first time we’d been and it was so much FUN!  I would seriously do it every single year!

I thought there’d be a few balloons that took off, came in, and then lit up the sky– but, since it’s the home of the National Balloon Museum- they outdid themselves.  Kyle and I were both amazed- and the kids were even more so!

So, today I just wanted to share a few pictures with you– not because I didn’t have a project- but, because I like sharing these kinds of things with you guys from time to time–so you remember, that I am a ‘real person’ 🙂

Please click on the pictures to make them bigger- I didn’t want the page to take forever to load! 🙂

If you ever have the chance to go to a Hot Air Balloon event- I suggest you go–loved every single minute of it! If you’ve gone before, or have ridden a hot air balloon, I’d love to hear about it below!

Oh- and fun news!! Starting next Friday, we are going to have a fun new thing going on here on the blog– thanks to my friend, Noelle, for the idea! ! Can’t wait to start it!

Ps. You’ll probably see some of these pictures again- when I put them on a layout 😉

Have a great Friday everyone!

  • Wow Sarah – these pictures are stunning!!! We have been fortunate to have hot air balloons go over head when we lived in the Orlando area – it is a site like no other! Looking forward to Friday!

  • It looks like you had such a great time. We had the Great Texas Balloon Race every year around this time in East Texas, and I miss it so! Thanks so much for bringing back those memories for me, Sarah!

  • Wow!! Beautiful photos. We just attended our first balloon fest July 19th & 20th. The Wellsville Hot Air Balloon Festival in Wellsville, New York. It was fantastic and I know we’ll go again (hopefully next year). I can’t wait to see your layouts and get some ideas to scraplift them.
