Flashback Friday

Hi everyone and Happy Friday!! 🙂 I am so glad it’s Friday because that means no school tomorrow- and I get to hang out with my 2 favorite kiddos!  PLUS, I have ALL my housework way done…so, it will be all PLAY time this weekend!! 🙂

Today is another FLASHBACK FRIDAY!

I really should find some theme music– like the sound of a rewinding tape…you know that sound my kids will probably never know? Ha!  That sound and the sound of the internet connecting to a phone line–both very distinctive for me, but completely unknown to my kids.  What other sounds can you think of that future generations may not know or hear?

Today, let’s flashback to a couple of Christmas projects, in case you want to flash forward and start working on your Christmas gifts!
In today’s 2 projects I will use the Imagine.  I do have a video for both of the projects–but, they are both pretty quick!

Pink zebra striped scissor earrings.  I liked the slightly curved look–but, if you want them flat– work fast to flatten them as soon as they come out of the oven, using a hard non stick spatula.  If you wait even a little bit, your charm will break 🙁

It’s also a good idea to use a sealant on these- like Crafter’s Companion Spray & Seal! 🙂 I used the glittered one!

Now for our next little project!!

’tis the season for giving– and a lot of times, if you don’t know WHAT to give– the best option is a gift card–so, I am going to show you how to quickly make a fun gift card!  Although, I use my Imagine for the cover, you do not need an Imagine or even a Cricut at all to make this gift card holder!

That’s it for Flashback Friday! Be sure to let me know or see if you’ve made one of these items on my Facebook page here and don’t forget to tell me if you can think of a sound new generations won’t know or hear down below 🙂

Have a great weekend everyone!

  • This sound may even be before your time – but the rotary phone – that click click click noise it made as the dial went back to 0 so you could dial – literally dial – the next number! Love the videos! Such great ideas – who doesn’t need a gift card holder?!!??
    Have a great weekend!!

    • I remember the rotary phones and the sound they made- I always loved to use them, because they were getting hard to find when I was growing up- as everyone was switching to touch dial.

  • Well, let’s see…..there are very few ‘old-time’ (manual) typewriters around anymore. I used to love that sound when my mother would be typing away for her at-home typing job. She was a whiz–super fast!!

  • Hey – in my quick catching up for the past 3 weeks did I miss where you said you have a new episode up on my craft channel? And in your adorable chevron wall studio! It is an awesome video and so high tech with the two camera angles! congrats – I’m so glad you are back on there!!!

    • I didn’t even realize that it was live yet, so I didn’t post! I will put up a post tomorrow with the link for sure! 🙂 And, yes- I am in my own studio- There are a couple quirks we need to work out- but, I am glad to be able to do it from home! 🙂

  • The sound of a record clicking into place – my parents had a record player when I was growing up 🙂 I loved watching it spin!! Love the videos – thanks for sharing 🙂
