1 Card & 2 Layouts and a Peek at the DCWV Autumn Melody Stack

Hi everyone and Happy Wednesday!  I’ve been busy playing with the new Fall DCWV stack found at Joann’s- called Autumn Melody- and it is just so pretty.  What I love about it, is that you don’t have to use it solely for pumpkin type pictures, but it will definitely get you through the fall!  If you want to see a flip-thru of this stack, Erin will be posting one sometime today at dcwvinc.blogspot.com

Here is a Thanksgiving card I made with the colored cardstock and printed cardstock stacks. (Don’t you just love the foil accents?!)

I used a Spellbinders die to make the shaped card, and then the smaller dies in the set to layer.  The ribbon is from 3 Girl Jam , and the sentiment is from Pink by Design Vintage Holidays.

Also- this is the first picture of a project I’ve taken in my new space….I think the lighting is pretty good, don’t you?

Want to see a couple of layouts done with the same stack?  The first layout is elegant and not necessarily ‘fall’.

I used the 2 different color music note sheets from the stack, as well as a darker damask print. The cream is from the coordinating cardstock stack. The blue is actually from the Coral Couture stack, but I wanted to be able to tie in the color blue from the background of this picture.  I cut the blue out with an elegant, and intricate doily type border cut from the Silhouette store on my Cameo, as well as the flourish. (See you can mix and match across stacks!)

The sentiment comes from this month’s stamp of the month. 🙂

I decided to journal straight on the musical paper- though usually I would have matted my journaling somehow.  I chose to do this because the ink looked so nice on the paper- and it made me think of musicians making notes to themselves on their sheet music.  The letters were cut out using a quickutz die- crazy, right?  But, I really do love my dies!

Okay, how about something a little more autumn-ish with this same Autumn Melody stack….

I loved the woodgrain paper from this stack, as well as the awesome gold glitter pages– so gorgeous.  So, I kept this layout fairly simple- a few banners using plain and printed card stock, and a few punched out hearts using the Stampin’ Up Heart to Heart punch (which I ADORE)!

The picture of my kids was taken last fall- so I am not too far behind, right….lol! And- the layout is hanging on a project I am working on currently using chicken wire 😉 😉

I used chipboard letters from Maya Road, that I inked with Ripe Persimmon ink by Tim Holtz. The Autumn Days embellishment came in a collection of embellies that coordinates with this collection.

Here’s some more of those hearts, using the musical note paper, and gold metal embellishments that I found at Archivers.

Whoa! That was a lot to look at, right?  Tell me…which one was your favorite and are you excited to get your hands on the DCWV Autumn Melody stack, now?
