Hi everyone!
I wanted to share this simple but pretty card with you today– that is a nice reminder to me that no matter what you face during the day- to find Joy in something that day.
Today- was kind of a frustrating day for me- you know the feeling? So frustrated with the circumstances of the day, that you could cry- or crawl into bed and forget the day. As a mother, you can’t just crawl into bed and forget the day- and small children don’t like to see their mommies upset because they don’t understand it.
So, I put on my best mommy face- and found joy in the hugs of my children, found joy in not cooking dinner-and going out instead, and found joy in a new Close to My Heart catalog that came in the mail from my sweet friend, Bryan!
(ps. I’m not as tough as I sound- a few tears did fall- and I did vent to some very close friends- sometimes you just have to!)
This card cut is from the Silhouette store- in their clearance section this week! 50 cents–I was all over it!
I used kraft paper, my favorite DCWV stack at the moment–Garden Tea Party paper, crinkle ribbon and a stamp from Pink by Design’s Enjoy the Journey. Simple, but so pretty, right?
Also–the kids are OFFICIALLY on SPRING BREAK- and I couldn’t be more excited!! 🙂 They will spend a little time at their grandparents- which means date nights for mommy and daddy!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend everyone!
Your card is beautiful! I’m sorry that you had such a tough day. I have had some of those myself. God bless, comfort and strengthen you. I hope you have a much better day tomorrow!
So sorry to hear you had a rough day! I’ve been there too many times to count. But, you said it right…You find JOY IN YOUR KIDS! My little guy teaches me SO MUCH, especially since he has overcome SO much. So, when I have one of those days, I think about what wrong with my day, I look at him, put on the “mommy face” and soon am forgetting my woes!! Glad to see you did too!! And, of COARSE this card is TOO CUTE!!
