Hi everyone and Happy Wednesday!
I was browsing through the Anthropologie website yesterday and I came across these little seed tubes- You get 3 little tubes, with seeds to start your own herb garden. I thought they were super cute- but, knew I could totally make these myself for a cute little gift. They are the ones pictured on the top right- notice the price of these is $16!
So, here’s how I put mine together:
I had these little tubes, I picked up in the jewelry section at Hobby Lobby- there were several 10-12 in a package for under $2.00. I though they would be PERFECT for my project- they don’t have the cork tops, but they are still cute! I printed the names of the seeds on kraft card stock and cut it into 1/2 inch strips.
I used Basil, Cilantro and Rosemary- and I tied the three with twine, and added a decorative tag.
I used Tim Holtz distress ink in walnut, to stamp the Pink by Design Newsprint background stamp onto the tag. I then inked and chalked the edges of the tag, and sprayed it with Walnut Gold Glimmer Mist. The sentiment comes from the Life’s a Garden stamp set.
I love how it turned out! I think they’d be a good gift for a teacher, a neighbor, a new homeowner, a gardener, a chef, etc.
