This will probably be last post til after Christmas-
(don’t worry–I have some FABULOUS things planned!!)
It’s not that I don’t love you all dearly- but, I will be immersing myself in Christmas with my little family of 4- hugging, snuggling, baking, singing, dancing and maybe even some crafting. I know you will probably be doing the same –which is why I love this time of year SO much!!
But, first I wanted to wish you all a very Merry Christmas- filled with joy and laughter! You all have blessed me so much this year- and I am so grateful for you allowing me to share my little life with you!
Also-I wanted to show one last project I did for my daughter’s 1st grade teacher! Since, I volunteer in the classroom twice a week- I was able to have the kids write a personal note to their teacher, telling what their favorite thing about her was….
Then, my daughter and I laminated the and bound the pages- and added some fun ribbon!
I used the Cricut E2 and the Gypsy with the Printing Press cartridge–this is actually the first time I’ve used this cartridge!
For the pages- which were ready before I went in to have the kids write on them, I used a shape from the Close to my Heart Art Philosophy Cartridge
It was fun to see what the kids had to say was their favorite thing…and to watch their new writing skills!
One little boy said his favorite thing was when the teacher made him stay in from recess to do his math. I had to chuckle at that one 🙂
The page shown is my daughter’s. She also helped by laminating with me and putting the names n alphabetical order.
We added the year on the back inside cover… 🙂
oops–also a quick update with Chex our Elf on the Shelf
My 4 year old really wanted to start leaving Santa cookies starting now…’just in case’- who am I to stop him?
Again, Merry Christmas- much love to you all!!
Cute idea for a teacher’s gift. When my youngest was in 1st grade she had to go to the hospital to be sedated so the eye doctor could check her retina. (She thought there might be a rip in it, thank God there wasn’t) Her teacher had all the kids in her class draw her a picture and say something nice about her and made it into a book. She is a Junior in high school now and she still has that book.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family! I look forward to seeing what new projects you’ll come up with after the holidays are over.
Merry Christmas and a happy New Year to you
and yours.
