Hey everyone and Happy New Year’s Eve!

Can you believe 2012 is tomorrow??  It’s crazy how fast this year has flown by– and I am SO lucky to have gotten to share it with all of you!

First, I wanted to show you the box I made for the earring holders I showed you yesterday.  I made this using a book box file within the Silhouette store by Lori Whitlock.  I also added the straps on the side, using another file by Lori Whitlock.

The paper I used is from the DCWV Tattered Time stack.

I used American Crafts card stock for the black box part and the straps.  I also punched holes in the edges using my Cropadile, and laced twine through it to tie it shut. 🙂 I am a big fan of little twine bows!

Ps….do you want to know how I got that nice blurry background?  (It’s called Bokeh in photography talk…and it is caused by a shallow depth of field) But…really all YOU want to know is the lens I used to get it…so here it is.  I used my Nikon 3100 with my 35mm lens

Now, I only got my DSLR a few months back- and don’t know a lot–but, I’d be happy to share tips and tricks that I find along the way if you’d like!  Let me know!

Okay…back to the box….do you wanna see inside?

Don’t those earring holders look so cute in there?

Big announcements!

We will be doing a Pink by Design Team call very soon–so start working on those projects (they can be cards, layouts, 3d, anything…but, they should include stamping)  I will keep you posted on the details, I just wanted to give you a heads up!

Also, I beginning in 2012,  I will be starting a Link party on Tuesdays!

I know that there are tons of link parties across the internet, but I feel like I don’t get to see what you are making and doing enough!

So, this gives you an opportunity to share what you’ve done that week- and also see what everyone else is up to all in one spot!  I am looking forward to stopping  by all of YOUR amazing blogs in 2012!  Also- I will be highlighting YOUR projects as well!

I hope you will be ready to link up your latest and greatest project starting next Tuesday!
