So…what do you do with all that leftover Christmas paper that is too pretty to throw away?
Make ornaments of course!
This pretty little ornament is simpler than it looks! I just cut out 9 circles on my Cricut, just by using the E2 stock cartridge, out of double sided Imaginisce paper.
I then scored and folded all of the circles in half- going opposite directions each time. (folded with the green in, and then folded with the stripes in)
I then inserted a loop of ribbon down the middle of the circles– as I stacked them on top of one another.
Holding the circles tightly, I stapled down the center at the top, middle and bottom along the crease.
Now– I used red line tape to glue the circles to one another, only on the top or the bottom– switching back and forth all the way around the circle.
That’s it! Here’s the result:
I think it is super-fun, and it reminds me a little of Whoville 🙂
If you try making one, I’d love to see your ornament!
Also–before I forget, here is the winner of the Westcott trimmer and scissors!
The winner is Lana, who said:
Thank you for sharing all of these great ideas! I love the advent calendar!
Email me your address, so I can send out your trimmer and scissors– I know you will LOVE THEM!

That’s very pretty- I will have to try this! 🙂
Loveeeee it!!!!! Great idea!! Yes it does look hard.. gotta try it though
how big did you cut the circles? I want to try this but not sure if I have any double sided paper around but I will check.
what is “red line” tape please?
AWESOME! That’s a great idea. So cute!
nice
cute
This is so cute and sounds simple enough once I read your instructions! Might have to try a version of this with my preschoolers. I’m thinking maybe with construction paper on a bigger scale that we can maybe hang from the ceiling!
