I am not sure why I feel the need to countdown for you all–I think it’s for me mainly–to remind myself I only have 1 more days to get those pies made… 🙂
I just can’t seem to stop playing with paper instead!
But, I have to–because my mom and sister came into town yesterday night–and there are more coming today and tonight….I need to clean, and bake, and…so on….
But…I was really feeling bad that Thanksgiving gets often overlooked–that I decided to make a banner for the mantle. My sister and mom were in the craft room helping too!
My sister made a menu frame, along with a pumpkin, and some treat boxes that I will share later today–
My mom hand-stitched the banner before we got distracted with some other SUPER CUTE projects that I cannot share just quite yet… 🙂
Okay–so here is the banner!
I cut the banner pieces from the Close to My Heart Art Philosophy Cartridge- the letters also came from the same cartridge. The colorful paper is Bo Bunny, and the glitter brown is DCWV. A simple banner- however, it has a special feature.
Each of the letters is atop a pocket (the patterned paper)- where we will insert strips of paper that have our hand-written gratitudes.
I stamped the strips of paper with a sentiment from Pink by Design Bountiful Blessings –
which is on sale right now, along with many others–you should check it out–
it’s the biggest sale of the year- (something about Black Friday coming up does this to me!)
Anyway, here are a couple other shots of the banner, because I always find them so hard to photograph-
