Happy Halloween and a Giveaway!

Hi everyone! I just wanted to wish you a Happy and Safe Halloween!

We had a fun-filled weekend with visiting family, going to a bridal shower, going to a Halloween Carnival with the kids where they both won special prizes, trick-or-treating and mom and dad were more than ready for bedtime Β on Sunday night!! πŸ™‚

I promised on Facebook on Friday that I would post a project I worked on by Saturday–but, I left town before I could get it done, and I forgot my laptop at home. πŸ™

Friday I seemed to really get in the crafty groove- knowing full and well that I would NOT be able to stick around for it, because I was volunteering at my kids’ schools from 9-noon and then we had to be ready to leave town by 5pm and I had to pack and tidy up the house! Β But, I kept going like I had all the time in the world πŸ˜‰

I think I must work well under pressure!

So here is one of the projects I did on Friday–and I love, love, love how it turned out!! πŸ™‚

Β Like I said I had a bridal shower to go to, and since the wedding is NOT until January, I couldn’t get the traditional 1st Christmas ornament…so, I thought this would be so fun for them to put on their tree.

The couple’s wedding color is purple, and they had a purple-theme tree last year- so I know this will go perfectly on their tree!

I welded the Soon to be and the last name on my Gypsy using the Cherry Limeade cartridge. The Mr. and Mrs. comes from the Wedding cartridge.

Β (wanna know a secret….? Β I’ve had Cherry Limeade for a longgg time, and this was my first time using it! Β I love it though!)

The Bride loved the ornament, and it was super easy to make!

I am really LOVING these glass ornaments I picked up from Hobby Lobby- they offer a lot of space to ‘play’ with and decorate!

I used this same ornament style on this Wedding Invitation Ornament. Speaking of ornaments…have you signed up for the Ornament Swap?Β

I sprayed adhesive on the inside of the ornament (any spray adhesive should work) and then I waited for a few seconds (to keep it from clumping) Then I poured in the glitter, and shook it around. Β I then poured the glitter back out to save it for next time. Β It’s amazing how little glitter is used to cover the inside of an ornament.

I cut the words out with my FAVORITE alternative to vinyl- Square 1 Printable Wall Decor. Β This stuff is so, so easy to work with– I don’t think I could go back to vinyl!

As a matter of fact, I think I will do a giveaway of some Sqare 1 Printable Wall Decor –how does that sound?

All you have to do is leave a comment on this post πŸ™‚ Β Easy, peasy!

(ps. I promise I will slow down on the ornament making for a little bit…I seem to create in themes…and it’s hard for me to switch gears!)
