Today is a very special day– it is my husband’s birthday–which most of you know as Mr. Pink.
I am so lucky to have such a supportive husband- he not only takes me to the craft stores–he sometimes even shops with me in them 😉 Can’t beat that!
Anyway, Happy Birthday babe- I love you!
For today- I made Mr. Pink a project to celebrate his favorite team- and it seems completely well-timed considering it is football season!
It’s not the same as taking him to a game- like I have in the past– but, it is a reminder of the memories we’ve made in the past years– at games!
To make this fun little glass block- I purchased a glass decorating block from Hobby Lobby, when they were on sale (this is important! LOL)
Then, I used Square 1 Masterpiece to make the Red and Black letters using my Gypsy and the Varsity Letters Cartridge. Square 1 will be releasing colored wall decor sheets very soon- and I knew instantly I would want to use Square 1 because it is so user-friendly and simple to work with! No sticking to itself and tearing–it’s as simple to use as a cling! I didn’t even have to use a transfer sheet! If you missed my video on Square 1- here it is.
I cut the football out with Sports Mania, at 3 inches. I filled the glass block with white 35 ct. lights- and that’s it. It was actually a pretty quick project, and I think it will look great in his office!
that today is Pink by Design Fan Flash Friday, and today we are posting Birthday projects in honor of Mr. Pink’s birthday- so be sure to write Happy Birthday on the PBD Facebook wall! 🙂
