With the big turn towards vintage style in scrapbooking and cardmaking–I thought it would be nice to show that you can do a more of a retro-vintage also.
I had all these fabulous pictures of my Grandma- and wanted to put them all on the same layout– at the same time, I didn’t want to leave any of the pictures out–because there were too many good ones!
I used DCWV paper stack- for all of the papers.
I added some ribbon, chipboard letters, buttons and used the Stampin’ Up border punch.
I am told, that the picture on the bottom right, was taken of my grandma when she bought her first dress-coat. It’s a beautiful coat–and the top-right picture I love, because I see myself standing there with a camera around my neck- it was a long time before I saw very many pictures of my grandma– because I expect, like me– she was the one always taking the photos of everyone else.
Ps. My mom is the one on my grandpa’s lap 🙂
There ya go…Orange, lime green and aqua–not your typical colors for vintage pictures–but, I like how it turned out!
What are your thoughts?
I think it’s so wonderful when we go back and take older pictures that hold so many memories for us and scrap them. It’s like we are the keepers of our family’s history preserving it for future generations. The colors are great for a very vintage feel.

Gorgeous colors! They really are brilliant matches, but at the same time, they don’t detract from the photos of your grandma, who was REALLY pretty btw!
