Do you know that song by Phil Vassar? Just another day in Paradise– it seems to always bring me back to the reality of my life– it always makes me stop and appreciate the ‘little’ things–
Here is the song, in case you don’t know it… it’s definitely one of my favorites.
So- you know when you have kids there is often a need for a Plan B– last night- I think we got to Plan D when it came time for dinner and bedtime routine! So… when I got to sneak away to my craft room…here is what I made 😉
I used the Just Beachy stamp set- and paper pieced them together. You can do this by stamping your entire image onto a piece of solid cardstock (here it was the blue). Then I restamped parts of the image stamp on patterned paper. For instance I stamped the umbrella top on the polka dot pattern and then cut it out and adhered it to the original stamped image.
I continued to do this with all the main parts of the image- w/ different patterned paper. This is a fun way to “color” your images without really coloring them.
I added a sentiment with blue embossing powder from the Sandy Toes stamp set, to a Maya Road tag- and matted my image onto coordinating papers.
Here is what the inside of the card looks like- I stamped it with a sentiment from Sandy Toes. This is probably as close as I’ll get to the beach paradise for awhile– but, that’s okay– because my little life–even if it is crazy and hectic– with 2 little ones–is honestly the best piece of paradise I could ask for! 🙂
