Imagine Nation Monday!

What a quick weekend!

The Pink by Design stamp release was on Friday night- and then all day Saturday the family and I took the day to do some of mommy’s favorite things- like visit the Local Scrapbooking Store, go to an antique mall and have some yummy ice cream!

Sunday, was my daughter’s last soccer game of the season- and we spent the rest of the day trying to stay cool, as we put up a pool for the kids.

Today- is Monday- which means another day to do a Fun Imagine project!  I really do love this machine- because it is so quick, and easy to make a homemade card or project for someone.

For example, the other day my daughter had a birthday party- and we forgot to make a card before-hand.  20 minutes til party-time and mommy went to the Imagine, put in the Buccaneer cartridge, and chose the card and envelope that was already on there.  Added some embellies and a sentiment-and voila- Awesome card in less than 10 minutes!

I also love it for the awesome, stock images!  Especially, since my gypsy decided to be cantankerous!  I can easily find a common shape, I would use and cut out the shape at whatever size  I need- like I did for this layout. 🙂

I used the Scalloped Circle Stock Image cut at 10 inches, using Basic Grey paper.  I didn’t want the scalloped circle to be right in the middle, so I trimmed the edge after placing it where I wanted on the Bo Bunny Mamarazzi paper.  But, after I did that, I couldn’t bare to see that pretty little piece go to waste, so I put it on the left side of the paper, slightly lower than the first.

The Bo Bunny Paper was a perfect fit, with it’s worn black and white and burn’t orange colors in it.

I had these sweet sepia pictures of my son holding my hand- that I really wanted to focus on–so I took the original picture of him holding my hand, zoomed in on our hands and then used that as a picture that overlapped my original.  The notebook type paper from Basic Grey made it super simple to journal on the side.

I love adding tulle to my projects lately- and this burnt shade of gold, really brought out the sepia tone in the pictures.  I added a Tim Holtz Cherish tag and place card holder also by Tim Holtz.

This layout is already in Jaxen’s scrapbook- and  since I added a couple more Imagine carts to my collection, I am anxious to make some more Imagine projects soon–maybe even today.  (Haul video to come later)

Have a great Monday everyone!!

  • This is a very precious L/O. I love the pictures. I never would have thought of using tulle. I don’t have any of these types (hand holding), but wish I did of my kids. My daughter held my hand even after she was n college, then one day said, mom do you think if I hold your hand people might think we are gay? I laughed and said, well maybe at first glance, but no we look too much alike and who cares what other people think. She doesn’t hold it now at 32, but then she has 2 small kids. I will have to get some shots like this of the grandkids. tfs Tami

  • *SIGH* Probably I shouldn’t look at your Imagine Nation posts – they just make me want the Imagine even more. I tried to convince my husband that I “needed” it, but he just gave me that “look”. 🙂 Ah well, I will live vicariously through you and your beautiful projects. This one is just gorgeous. 🙂
