Good Evening everyone!
Usually, I post in the morning–so this is a little out of character for me–but, I am so excited for this post! 🙂
Jessica from Baking Up Crafts had this wonderful idea of pairing up Baked Goods and Paper Crafts–and since I love both of those things, I jumped right in!
Although, I don’t love to cook- I do LOVE to bake– Which works out nicely, since Mr. Pink likes to cook 🙂
Anyway-today’s project is inspired by the 4th of July, and a dessert that I always make for this important celebration! And, guess what else? You don’t even need to heat up the oven, in the July heat for this yummy dessert. You can’t beat that!
Besides, the dessert, I also made an 8×8 layout of this recipe to add to my daughter’s recipe book– and some fun pinwheels to decorate that 4th of July table of goodies!
Let’s start with the video on how to make these super cute pinwheels!
I used the DCWV Nantucket stack, 3-6mm Blue beads, a headpin, and a small 3/16 dowel rod. 🙂
Again, I used the DCWV Nantucket stack, Pink by Design Recipe Stamp, What’s Shakin’ stamp set, Recollections flowers, and a Doily 🙂
Here’s a closeup of the Recipe….which I hardly ever share, because it is so easy–yet, is unbelievably delicious! 🙂
You can’t go wrong w/ the measurements– the milk is just til you get the right consistency and the sour cream is to taste 🙂 It does help if you have softened cream cheese 🙂
(oops- I forgot to add that you need 1 box of pwdrd instant pudding mix- vanilla, white chocolate or cheesecake flavored mixed in w/ the whip cream mixture!)
How about some Blog Candy?
I am giving away a Recipe Card Stamp set from Pink by Design as well as a Post Card stamp set to one lucky Pink Cricut friend!

Okay-here are the rest of the ladies on the hop–be sure to check out what they created both in their kitchens and in their scrap areas!

Love the idea of creating a recipe book album for your daughter. Wish I would have thought of doing something like that. What a wonderful treasure you will be giving her.
Two fabulous projects for this fun baking hop! I made my daughter and daughter-in-law family recipe albums about 5 years ago. It was the FIRST project in my papercrafting madness and I swore I was just going to make those albums and then I would be done … Well THAT didn’t happen as now I make cards and have a blog … crazy fun!
Awesome projects! I love the Nantucket paperstack too – had to pick one up!! I’ve always wanted to do a recipe album – I’m gonna have to get me some of those stamps 🙂

Thank you so much for showing in a video how to do the Pinwheels. I have admired them but never tried but now I have to try to make one. We like having BBQ’s so that would be a cool little center piece for the tables for a BBQ. Thanks.
