to all of the Kindergarteners out there—and their great moms and dads!
Today, my little girl graduates Kindergarten–so she went to school in her pink, sparkly dress, hair curled and a shining star necklace that I gave her in her little graduation cap box.
The instructions on how to make this quick and cute little box are on the new Pink by Design Blog 🙂 , in case you missed them last week!
Also, for today- I have a layout I did– I wanted to use the DCWV Colorful Life paper that I got ages ago–and haven’t used yet.
This stack has such beautiful pieces of art for each page–that you hardly need to put anything on the pages—and they could still be pretty enough to hang on your wall.
When I originally started this layout–I thought I was going to make it to hang on my wall, after I framed it–but, after it was done- I found something else equally as awesome to go on my wall–which I will show you later this week!
So–this will go in an album.
What I like about this layout, is that I used different things to embellish it—out of the ordinary things to make it look more like art and less like a layout.
I used, 2 pictures that I LOVE of my kids– I stamped the word INSPIRATION from the Enjoy the Journey stamp set- and I added– a string of sequins and some screen….
Yep- screen like you’d put on a screen door- 🙂 It gives it a fun texture- and I am glad I had Mr. Pink save me some when he redid our screen door in the Spring. 🙂
Is it perfectly artistic–probably not, but- I think it is important to experiment and try new things because sometimes, you can discover something beautiful in something completely ordinary.
Have a great day everyone!
