Happy Wednesday!
Today is my daughter’s last Wednesday of school for the summer–she still has a Thursday, Friday and Tuesday–but, this is the last Wednesday 😉  🙂  I am SOOOO excited to have her home!
Anyway- we have another great Guest Designer for you today– Christel from Scrappin’ Sista– She is such a sweet lady- with a big heart–so I am happy to introduce her to you all! 🙂
Hello fellow scrappers! I’m Christel a.k.a. Scrappin’ Sista and I currently reside in Roanoke, VA with my DH and our four children.  My DH got me hooked on scrapbooking when he created my first album for me for Christmas in 2004.  I remember it clearly because he would sneak off on Saturdays and I was pregnant with our youngest.  You know the hormones were raging.  Every since he presented me with the beautiful gift of love, I have been hooked.  I have recently started creating cards as well as altered projects.  I think my favorite thing to do though is create LO’s. My style is clean yet edgy with a touch of whimsy.
Until last year, I was a teacher.  I enjoy teaching but with the DH
’s job, it’s hard getting a job.  So, I am at home until the afternoons when I work at the local Boys and Girls’ Club as a Recreation Specialist.  I’ll soon start teaching scrapbooking and Cricut classes at a local store.
I am super excited and honored to be a Guest Designer for Sarah.  I currently serve on the design teams for For Fun Challenges, Crazy About Cricut, Cooking with Cricut, and Creative Cutting Room.
Happy Scrappin’!
Clothespin Game – Based off the popular baby shower game, I cut several onsies and baby buggies from the new Life’s A party cartridge at approximately 2 inches. I stamped one sentiment on each cut and added some doodling. Then I laminated each of the cuts so that it would last a long time. These were then attached to a clothspin using Helmar’s 450 adhesive glue. To play the game, each person would receive a clothespin that is attached to their clothing. They are not permitted to say any the words on the clothespin with the exception of minor words (i.e. the, a, an). If they do say the word, someone else may take their clothespin. The last person with their clothespin or the person with most clothespins wins!
Cupcake – Using one of my new favorite cartridges, Life’s A Party, I cut a cupcake wrapper at 2 1/2″. to the bottom of the wrapper, I stamped and embossed, the sentiment “Babies Make the Heart Grow Bigger”. Inside the wrapper, you could roll up a onies or a burp cloth to resemble a cupcake. I attached a cupcake topper which was created by attaching two onsies back to back which have sentiments stamped on the belly. These were attached using Helmar’s 450 adhesive.
Favor Box – This was also cut using the Life’s A Party cartridge. I cut it with the fit to page mode on so it came out to be 5 3/4 inches. The letters on the size are cut at 5 3/4 inches. I attached them using Zig pen. I used a 2″ scalloped punch. I stamped and embossed the sentiment and face. The Pink by Design sentiment says “Welcome Baby” and the face is a Peachy Keen Stamp. Finally, I used some ribbon from my stash to tie the box closed.
These are all very cute, Christel! I have visited your blog many times and always love seeing your latest creations. Thanks for sharing these adorable baby things. And how wonderful your DH must be for making a scrapbook for you!!! I have never heard of such a thing! LOL!
