Cards for our Soldiers

Hey everyone!

This weekend I stayed busy organizing all of my paper– Though, I did get to sneak off to Joann’s to take advantage of that Extra 25% off coupon I had! :O)

I was ย also in the SUPER-FUN Disney/Pixar Hop- which I have a winner from….

Dana Taft who said:

Thumper melts my heart everytime. Thanks for the inspiration.

Congrats Dana– email me for your Animated Greetings Stamp set!!

I like to get cards sent to our soldiers whenever I can- because my brother did 2 tours in Iraq- and I know how much a little mail can make their day!

I actually found this ‘manly’ BO Bunny card kit at my LSS, for $4- I usually don’t buy card kits, but couldn’t pass it up for some quick cards for some of those serving currently. ย So, I gave myself ย a 30 minute time limit- to see how many cards I could knock out with the help of this pre-cut kit.

I added my own stamp sentiments from the Pink by Design Our Troops Stamp Set– but everything else came in the kit! ๐Ÿ™‚

YAY! ย I have several ‘manly’ looking cards to send off to to our Troops! ๐Ÿ™‚

Who else out there makes cards for our troops?

I’ve been asked below a few times on where to send your cards:

http://www.anysoldier.com/ is a fantastic place to go ย and search by branch- then you can search by name- and find out a little bit about the person you are sending the card to, ๐Ÿ™‚ Makes it a little more personal! ๐Ÿ™‚

Ps. Don’t forget there is still time to enter for the Scrap’n Easel Giveaway!

  • Wow, awesome job on all those cards in 30 minutes! I need to get better about making more cards. I love to send cards when my husband is gone he normally gets 2-3 cards a week from me ๐Ÿ™‚ this year I plan to hand make all of them for our next deployment that is coming up. I also send cards to those my husband serves with. I know the guys here love when I bring cards/sweets/food to them at work or to their place!

  • DH is retired after 20 years in the AF. I have a very soft place in my heart for our troops and those who appreciate their service. Thank you so much for doing this! Can I ask where you send these cards?

  • Those are great- sometimes a card kit is just the thing- is there somewhere in particular you send these cards? I would love to do that!

  • Congrats to the winner!!! LOVE the cards Sarah!! I RARELY buy those kits as well, but it looks like you may need to go get another ๐Ÿ˜‰ Operation Write Home is a GREAT organization who sends ALOT of cards to the troops. I send cards to them. Thanks for sharing and maybe I need to think a bit more about those kit things. LOL

    Hugs,
    Tanya

  • Great job on the cards! I also make cards for Operation Write Home which sends handmade cards to the troops overseas so that they can stay in touch with their families and friends.

  • Great cards. . . i have never used a card kit – – looks like I need to give it a try. My daughter and I made cards last fall for the troops. . .

  • These are all just amazing cards!!! ๐Ÿ™‚ And you have just inspired me to make another bunch to send as well! ๐Ÿ™‚ I know these simple cards really do mean so much to our brothers and sisters protecting us….God bless them. Thanks for sharing ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Sarah,
