Happy Birthday Jen, the Purple Scrapbooker! Today, is her VERY special day- and we are happy to be hopping with her to celebrate her day!
Thanks to everyone who has come out to celebrate with us too! 🙂 It wouldn’t be a hop without YOU!
Today, I have a quick tutorial for you on how to make your own decorative pins for cards and layouts. Some people might call them hat pins, push pins, etc.
Now, are you ready to see my project?
For my project I used acetate, and a Pillow Box Die in my Big Shot, to cut out the treat box. I filled it with Dark Chocolate Covered Espresso Beans- I used Bo Bunny Gabrielle paper for the treat wrap and the card. I added Papertrey Ink Saddle Stitch ribbon and a Prima flower to each. Then I added some Sunflower colored pearls, and my handmade pins 🙂
I also stamped Happy Birthday in Close to my Heart Twilight Ink with the Pink by Design Scripted Year stamp set!

Blog Candy
I am giving away a Cricut Sampler Cartridge to one lucky Pink Cricut Friend! 🙂
Just leave a comment below!
Star is your next stop on the hop-and I am sure she has something awesome ready for you all!!
And, here’s the rest of the linup, in case you get lost! 🙂

Stunning card.
Funny .. I was just at my Michael’s tonight looking for those pins, and didn’t find that cute packet that you showed. BUT I do have in my stash upstairs a bunch of beads, findings and crimp beads from my earlier life when I was a beader not a scrapper. All I need are the long pins like you showed, so Sarah, back to Michael’s I’ll be going tomorrow to make this project. Thank you for the tip which I am definitely “lifting” ASAP.
Warmest love,
