Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend!
We had a fun filled weekend- after deciding to take an impromptu trip to Kansas City. Sometimes, I find it is good for the soul, to run-off as a family together–no real plans–just time away to laugh, have fun, do things we normally wouldn’t- because life is so short, and kids grow up SO fast!
I got to hang out with one of the Pink by Design designers on Friday night- Elizabeth from 217 Creations— we did some MAJOR craft shopping, some make n takes at Archivers, had dinner and drinks–and just had a BALL! Thanks again Elizabeth for the great time!
We also visited the Kansas City zoo- and the awesome Polar Bear–which, I could have watched ALL DAY long! 🙂 He was A-MAZ-ING!
We visited downtown KC- and hit up the Better Cheddar and the Coach Store 😉
Then we took some GIRL time, and let Alexis visit the American Girl store for the first time ever.
We’ve only ever ordered from the catalog! She was IN HEAVEN!
I also went “antique-ing” with my Mother in law and sister in law– We were looking for floral frogs, but didn’t have any luck– Oh, well!
Well, I couldn’t post without sharing SOMETHING I made—so, here is a card- inspired by The Beatles Abbey Road Album-
I grew up singing all of the Beatles songs– my favorite from this album being, “Come Together.” I have many memories of my sister and I singing the “fun” parts of this song together in the back seat of our family car. 🙂
