It’s my Party Blog Hop

Well…it’s not MY party–but, it today is Alex’s party over at You had me at Craft!

She celebrated her birthday on Thursday of this week, and she has some awesome and fun things planned for all of you today, including BLOG CANDY!

To start at the beginning of the hop, you can click here to go to Alex’s blog.

Alex asked us to make anything that was for a party–and since it is my little guy’s birthday in 2 weeks–I decided to take the opportunity to make some things for his Superman themed party.  He will be turning 4.

I only used the Superman cartridge, which in my opinion, is an AWESOME cartridge–it was very well planned and has TONS of great cuts and projects on it!!  He helped me make the projects–and as he was flipping through the book–he wanted to make EVERYTHING!

This invitation was cut  at 5.5 inches wide

Here’s the inside of the invite- stamped with Pink by Design Party Time Stamp Set

This party hat and Superman Decor Layers were cut at 7 inches (or fit to page)

My son LOVED these hats- and with the tab and opening, they were quick and easy to put together!

I made the treat bags from the Superman cartridge, (fit to page) and then instead of decorating them with the given decorations, I made door hangers for each of the bags, with their names on the door hangers.  The door hangers were cut at 6 inches.  I welded the letters together, using the Superman cartridge and my Gypsy.

I  measured my son’s face with a piece of cardstock–and figured out I would need glasses that were about 5 inches long- I made them just a tad longer at 5.4 inches….

These are SO adorable!!

and also a BIG hit with my little superhero 🙂

Before I get to the Blog Candy–I wanted to share a couple of Tips & Tricks for a child’s birthday party!

Tips or Tricks on how to make a party successful using papercrafting:

Having more than you need planned, just in case something doesn’t go over well– because you never know what kids will LOVE or get bored with!  I always have a papercraft for them to participate in as well– because it is a great way to get everyone involved and take something home, that they were able to make!

Personalized treat bags, also eliminates confusion, fighting and so forth! 🙂 Always wait to hand out treat bags, at the end–I learned this one the hard way 😉

Okay now onto the BLOG CANDY!

I will have 2  Pink Cricut Friends that will win….

1 will win a Superman Cartridge

and the other will win a  Pink by Design Party On Stamp set, which is perfect for a number of party types!!

Pink Cricut friends, all you have to do to enter is leave me a comment telling me your favorite Superhero!
