Imagine Nation Monday

Welcome to another Imagine Nation Monday!

First of all, I want to announce the winner from our last “gift” challenge! 🙂
Gigi from The Cricut Bug

Congratulations Gigi–you have won a Close to my Heart Level 1 Scrapbooking Kit, a Through the Years Family 2 layout kit, and 2 clear stamps! 🙂

Okay–now onto this week’s project!

There is no challenge this time-because of the holidays, but Emma and I will pick up the challenges in January 2011! 🙂

Okay, I decided to do something that reminded me of my own  childhood for this ornament–but a little more whimsical.

The tree was printed and cut in layer function from Snow Angel, several times, on post-it paper, and then scored and layered together-much like in this project and video!

Today, I am so happy to have a guest designer alongside of me– with the beautiful Tag she made for this Imagine Nation Challenge!

The very talented, Jeannie, from Scraps in My Life!

Imagine, the gift tag being part of the gift! I often wondered why tags should they just be part of the “bag” and not anything more. Well, the large dimensional poinsettia blooming in this arrangement is more! When the “bag” has been opened, that part of the tag can be removed and worn.  It is a removable broach! My Imagine made it so easy; especially with the gorgeous Snow Angel cart having so many of the major cuts already created. I also used Winter Frolic for the tag and Fabulous Finds for the sentiment. I’m in love with my Pink Cricut “Christmas Wishes” stamps; the perfect sentiment was only a stamp away. And to decorate for the season I threw in a little embossing, a couple of i-rock gems, ribbon and a lot of glitter! Come on over to my blog for complete directions.

And, be sure to come back tomorrow to see another way you can use these sprays to make beautiful Glittered ornaments! 🙂

  • No doubt I love bling, also get frustrated with mats pretty fast, they do not last long! So guess I would say stick & spray & stick away, maybe this would take of mat frustration!!! Great Christmas ornaments, tree is so adorable.Luv your tags Jeannie! TFS

  • I’m absolutely in love with those ornaments! So gorgeous!

I love the stick & spray idea, it really helps make the mats last much longer. After awhile I will scrub mine down and re-spray it and won’t have to do it again for a month or two.

  • I love your ornaments, that little tree is too adorable!! I think of all the sprays I like the Glittered ones the best, as I can never have enough sparkle & shine on my projects!!! Thanks for a Great video & great giveaway!! Merry Christmas!!!

  • Just found you (not to long ago) so happy I did love all you do if I should win anyone would be appriciated thanks for all you do Have a very Merry Christmas………….

  • Love the ornament and will help my grandkids make some for an ornament contest here in town. Love the sprays, all of them..possibilities unlimited.

  • I have to say the stick and spray would be my favorite. I too have problems with my sticky mats and I wounder if I could get the paper to stick better if I would avoid paper tares. I have tried everthing else, change the blade, change the mats, adjusted blade depth, spead pressure and still have problems.

  • I use the Spray and Stick on my mats and love it. I would love to try the glitter one because you know you can never have enough glitter on a project. modjjjash at yahoo dot com

  • I love the glitter sprays, but perhaps the sticky spray would come in handy when I re-charge my cricut mats…I currently use a quilters batting spray, but it is really sticky at first…Thanks for a chance to win! Love to check in to your blog daily…you are so creative!

  • Love the projects. It would have to be the Stick & Spray Respositional Adhesive especially after last night. My mat was not sticky enough and even after trying to clean it did not work. Of course I did not have a back up mat, so as I was trying to cut, I was holding the mat with my hands so that it did not move while the cricut was cutting. Went through a lot of paper last night and took forever. Ahhhhhh

  • Awesome ornaments! Never heard of these sprays. I want to say the Glitter Spray, as I love bling! But I also would love the Spray & Stick for my mats as it is so frustrating to keep them project ready for all my cutting….

  • OK I have got to find out where I can get me some of that Glitter spray (I am all about sparkle) I have the other sprays and they are great so now I’m on a mission.

    Precious Hugs

  • I am very excited to learn about these and am super excited about he Stick and Spray! But I love the one that seals and the glitter ones are so pretty! Thank you so much for sharing this with us! I am so excited about this product! Have a wonderful day! lindagk23

  • Oh I love the story of you and your mom making an oranment. I don’t any good childhood memories so I try my best to make some with my daughter & son. What am I most excited about I would say the Sticky remover to get the darn mat clean 😀

  • I would love the stick & spray!!!!!!!!!! Gitter & glitz YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!!! & I am now trying to mae the poinsetta pin w/ tag!!!!

  • What cute ornaments and I love the story behind it!
Spray and Stick would be wonderful! I can see where it would save alot of time and frustration by allowing the papers (and other mediums) to actually stick to the mats!

  • I am so glad to hear that you have trouble with the stickiness of the Imagine mat! (well not “happy” but) I have been so frustrated using my Imagine mat, I thought it was just me. Every time I go to cut the paper is all over the place. I would LOVE to win this do much you can’t imagine. (no pun intended) lol, Karen

  • I just love the Stick n Spray! It’s what I use to restick my mats. I’d love some of the glittery stuff@ What fun. Thanks for showing how to make those cute little ornaments.

  • I am so excited about the mat spray! I just bought my Cricut Expression and being a newbie and figuring out all the funcitons I have already gone through 3 mats! This would definitely be a staple in my scrapbooking/ crafting collection!!!

  • First, love the prejects! Second, I am so excited about the Stick and Spray for my Cricut mats! I am a newbie to this and bought my first Cricut (the Cricut Expression) two weeks ago. I have already gone through 3 mats, trying to figure out all the functions, and different things I can do with my Cricut.

  • the glass ornament was so cute, at what size did you cut it? I THINK MY FAVORITE SPRAYS WOULD BE THE GLITTER SPRAYS IN HOLIDAY COLORS … i JUST LOVE GLITTER.( I keep hitting the caps lock). Enjoyed your video, I like things that bring us back to our youth. Earlier I saw a paper chain made out of scraps… really neat. DawnRI

  • I would love to win the spray! It would make my paper stick to my mat easily! I love your tree ornament and although I know I could adapt the tree to cut it with my Expression I wish I had an Imagine, Oh well, maybe someday!

  • This is such a great video, LOVE all the great tips. Never thought about 3-D…just may have to give it a try. Thanks Bev B bevborda at yahoo dot com

  • Lovely projects ladies 🙂

I love the idea of the glitter sprays, you can never have too much bling, especially if it is the exciting sounding iridescent!!!

Thank you for the chance to win AND wishing you & your family a very Happy Christmas 🙂

  • The ornaments are adorable. Thanks for sharing your creations. The sprays you showed look very useful and cool. Would love to get them. Thanks.

  • Your ornament is adorable. Very cute. Love all of the sprays but the Spray and Stick. I have been eyeballing some at Joann’s but just haven’t purchased yet. Would love to give this a try. The glitter ones sound amazing too.

  • I love the spray and seal…I know that it isn’t part of the give away, but it would save me time and money from having to go to the print shop to get laser photo copies of pictures to use on my projects so the ink doesn’t run. I also would love the iridescent sparkle on projects! Looks like great stuff and I can hardly wait to try it.

  • Since my mats currently need to be re-stickified, I’d say I’m most excited about the Stick and Spray and the Stick Away! I need some!

  • Your ornament is really cool!!! Going to have to try that! I am excited about the glitter sprays for sure!!!! Bring ’em on!!!! 🙂

  • I reallylike the oranment and the take. Thanks for the inspiration. I would rally like to have the Stick and Spray and the Stick Away bedcause I hear they work to revatlize older Cricut mats.

    Shari . . .

  • i am so glad that i watched your video. i usually skip your imagine stuff since i don’t have one, but this one was quite enlightening. i didn’t know that you can spray sealer on your live wreath to keep its color & moisture in it. what a fanatastic tip!! i need to get some of this stuff just for that purpose. & i can make it all nice & glimmery too. awesome.

  • I am a miser i guess. Cause i didn’t have it in me to throw away the mats after the stick left on them. I have used the same mat now for over six months, it had no stick to it at all and i used the stick away then the stick and spray. This product is awesome.

  • Thank you so much for posting yout ornament videos using Stick & Spray. Time has escaped me and I needed a quick idea for all the clear ornaments I have to make for my daughters preschool class. And the added benefit this product provides for that cricut headache of paper moving on mats! I’d love to win some stick and spray as I see myself using a lot of it in the future now that I know it exist. Thanks 🙂

  • I love the spray and seal….I make ornaments all the time and I think next year I am going to try your snow globe one.
    Thanks for the tutorial.

  • I have been wanting to try the Stick $ Spray and Stick Away for a while, but have not gotten around to ordering it. Would love to try it out. LOVE this ornament. Will have to give it a try. Thanks for sharing.

  • I would have to go with the stick and spray.. would love to try those ornaments but definitely for my cricut mats 🙂

  • Ah-ah, and just on time for my grandchildren to make and take to their teachers for Christmas. Such a nifty idea; I would like to try out the multi-color glitter spray. TFS.

  • I am most excited about the glitter spray. I hope I get an imagine that works. I should be getting my fifth machine soon. Love your videos.

  • I love that dangly little christmas tree! I’ll have to do that with the clear ornaments we’ve been hoarding!!

I am most excited about that glitter spray – GLITTER SPRAY! Oh my! Spray glitter – what a dream!

  • The no brainer for anyone who owns a cricut is the stick and spray and the stick away!! Who doesn’t have mat issues?? LOVE the ornaments and the bling is a MUST!!

    tjsgal at gmail dot com

  • Oh, oh, oh…. I LOVE these ornaments! I SO wish I had an Imagine to do these with. Guess I’ll have to be creative and figure out how to do some without the Imagine. I’m super excited about the stick and spray. I have been wanting to try this for awhile now for my Cricut mats. Thanks for the chance to win some!

  • Wow, I just came across this video, I have been so busy!! I am definitely going to look up that Stick and Spray because it says re positionable. I have been using my ATG gun to put a small runner of tape along the edges to hold my paper to my mats but it is a little messy at times……this looks like a better option!!
