I had a great weekend– we hunted for and got our first REAL Christmas tree. ย We put it on the roof of the car, and everything–:)
As we looked for the tree, we came across the “PERFECT” one. ย It may not be perfect for everyone, but it was the perfect one for us–kind of like looking for a wedding dress!
Anyway, we also took the kids to Tangled in 3d- which we all loved–and mom and dad got some Christmas Shopping done!
Now, something I love more than shopping for Christmas presents–is wrapping them!!
And, this year I will be making my very own bows for the presents as well!
But, first I wanted to announce the winner from the DCWV giveaway on my site and the Peachy Keen and Pink by Design giveaway from this weekend! ๐
The winner of the DCWV Christmas stack is Scrappinwithmybug
Congrats Michelle–email me with your address! ๐
The winner of the Pink by Design Girls Just Wanna Have Fun stamp set as well as the Peachy Keen New Year’s Face Assortment is
Jenny who said, “I think these cards adorabable, so I would definately use both the Peachy Keen and the Pink by Design stamps for my cards!”
Don’t forget to check the Peachy Keen blog to see if you’ve won over there!
Also, I will have at least 2 more FAVORITE Things this week with Giveaways! ย Can you say woohoo! ๐
Okay, okay–now onto today’s project!
Like I said in the video- my friend, Meriah, from Two Scraptastic Gals will be doing a video on how to make these types of bows using the Cricut instead. ย ๐
But, if you are interested in the die–I picked mine up from overstock.
I really love your website i have learned so much from you and hope to put some of it to work. Thanks so much for sharing with us we all can learn so much from you.
Great Job! I love it!!! I wanna make some too!
Fabulous video Sarah!!!
… sadly I don’t have a die for making these bows and would really appreciate if you could let me know the dimensions of the three sizes so that I could try cutting them out by hand to make some special bows for birthday and Christmas presents ๐
PS – I think they look great with the brad showing through!
Thank you for the tutorial on the bows. How cool to make your own. Beautiful
I would really appreciate it if you would give us the dimemsions of these so we could try cutting them out on the Cricut. They look like the would be easy to draw out and cut out. Thank you
cute! i too would like dimensions so that i could work with my gypsy to make this.
Soooo cute! Please do let us know if that die fits in the cuttlebug.
Also, I for one, would love to see a picture of your tree decorated! I bet it looks great!
I made one of these a few years ago at a class given by my Stampin Up demonstrator and I believe we cut them out with a regular paper cutter….I’ll be looking for the directions this afternoon. I’m sure they’re here somewhere!
Love the bows. Love the fact there is so many things we can do with our paper. I am such a DCWV CS addicit that I have so much and dont know what to do with it all, LOL. Thanks for the video and ideas…keep them coming.
Really cute. Thanks for sharing.
Very cute bows. I think it would be easy to design in DS, too.
The bows are very cute, but I dont think 10 fingers is enough to make this bow. I would definatly need 5 more fingers to hold it in place …How does one use a gypsy to draw it out to be used with the cricut…Is there a feature I dont know about. I’m interested… I need gypsy 101.
I really enjoyed the video. I hope to see the Cricut video, also. Thanks for sharing.
You have some really great ideas! TFS! Dina
Sounds like you had a great weekend. Thanks for the bow help.
Love your bows and your tutorial. Will this die work with the Big Kick?
Wow! Love this bow tutorial!
I love that die, last year I learned off of youtube how to make them but only with a ruler and scissors.
TFS,
Liset
cute bows! however I have a hard enough time trying to get all the presents created I dont worry to much about the wrapping LOL…I saw you had bought that a die a few weeks ago, glad to see it action!
thanks for the giveaway of the paper!!! I will be emailing you โบ
michelle
I love them but I also need dimensions so I can play with DS!!

Love the bows but would really like the gypsy or design studio or Sure Cuts Alot files. Even the measurements of the three sizes would be great. Thanks for sharing. LOVE them,
