From what I can tell– the new one is smaller in size, but the old one laminates. So the question should be–what size books will you create–and will you use the laminating feature

I honestly don’t know what I would or will do– Laminating would be nice–but so would a smaller machine.  And, neither of them are PINK–so that can’t be my deciding factor.  (Sigh)

  • I have the machine in your second picture. Purchased recently as part of a bundle with the matching Cricut Expression at Cosco. I love the fact that it laminates! I myself haven’t made any books yet, but I’m planning one for my grand-daughter. With this one, you can do books up to 11 inches wide. My sister made one for me with pictures of the jewelry I make, and it is fabulous!!!!!
I’ll be using both more now that the gardening season is over, and I havr a little more free time, ;-D

  • Sarah I have the second one you have posted, I never used, its still in box, I bought from HSN as a bundle so now I am excited to learn more about it.. Debbie

  • I would be lost without a laminator. When I got my Your Story I sold my other laminator after doing a test drive first. I have not made a book yet but that will come in time. I laminated all of my daughter’s awards during school and they are still in excellent condition. I laminate my business cards for child care, my child care license that hangs on my bulletin board, I laminated my cutting guide from AboveRubiesStudio. My family is afraid of me when the laminator comes out. LOL So long story longer. I LOVE MY BIG “YOUR STORY”

  • I checked it out, and the small one comes with cardstock covers. It would be good for binding 4 x 6 or 5 x 7 photos, or making mini books, note pads, and such……Not yet available in Canada, but that’s no surprize……

  • I thought the exact same thing when I saw this! However, I also though the SAME Thing when I saw the ad for the mini cake!
I guess some like the smaller for storage purposes, or maybe the lower costs on the smaller machines?

  • not my cup of tea right now. Tempting but for now the Imagine is my last purchase for a while. I just don’t have the space for anything more. I think PC needs to wait a little more between releases. Too many in too little time. 🙂 Hubby would probably flip if I get any other tool type crafting thingie. lol

  • I, to, have the second, bigger one but I am embarrassed to say I have not used it yet. A little intimidated! But I will give it a try after reading all of your stories. Love your blog! Janette

  • Hey doll!!! I have been wanting this machine for such a long time. I kind of like the laminating feature so I am wondering if the bigger one might be for me? Thanks for posting this! You are awesome as usual! XOXO Momo

  • Hello everyone. Ok I have a question. Can you use the “Your Story Photo Personal” covers in the “Original Your Story” machine? I like the idea of the smaller thin covers but want the option to use a stronger bigger cover. HELP!
