Good Morning Everyone and Welcome to the 2nd Imagine Nation Blog Hop!
We are so glad you are joining us this morning– ย be sure to grab a cup of coffee or hot cocoa and sit back and enjoy all of the fun projects using the Cricut Imagine!
I did this project as I sat and listened to Christmas carols (yep, already!) ย and, instead of showing pictures–I made a quick video tutorial on how to do it yourself. ย Don’t worry, if you don’t have an imagine–it is still something you can do with your Expression, with just a few adaptations.
And now for some BLOG CANDY!!
On Monday, I will pick 4 WINNERS!
The Bug Magazine has donated 1- 1 year subscription to their magazine, and 2 – 1st Issues ๐
(and I hear the 1st issue is going to be GREAT!!)
And…I am also giving away one of my Imagine Basics DVD’s
To be entered for the Blog Candy, be a follower- and leave a comment below telling me what your FAVORITE ornament is to hang on the tree each year!
You can gain an extra entry if you GRAB my NEW button on the TOP RIGHT! ย I am so excited about it–isn’t it cute?

Cute ornaments! All of my ornaments have some kind of meaning behind them. I have a tradition of buying a new one each year! I think my favorite right now is one that looks like an aircraft carrier (since my hubby was in the Navy and deployed the year I bought it).

Love the ornaments you created. Great tutorial video. I love your blog and would love to grab your button but I haven’t learned how to do that yet. My favorite ornaments for my tree is a set that my son (who is an artist by trade) made me. One of the mediums he works in is glass blowing. They are just beautiful!!!! Since he lives out of state we do not get to spend every Christmas together. But the ornaments hanging on my tree always makes me feel as though a part of him is with us.
Marcie
Good morning, Love all of them, my favorite is the blue snowflake. Would live to fill my tree with those snow flakes.
I love the ornaments you created! As for my favorite ornament, it is hard to pick just one! My family has always purchase an ornament anytime we traveled anywhere in the world, and it is a tradition my husband and I have continued. Since every ornament has some type of memory attached to it, they are all my favorites ๐ Thanks for sharing your project and the giveaways!
Ashley “Scrappin’ Pink Piglet”
Great tip about using the post-it paper! We buy and personalize an ornament for each of the kids every year (that way, when they move out, they’ll already have ornaments for their own trees). They pick their own, so they’re a pretty good representation of what they were “into” at the time. I love putting them up and remembering them at the various ages…like my son and his 4 Blues Clues ornaments (he was obsessed with those characters for YEARS).
I also posted your blinkie on my blog!!
Ashley “Scrappin’ Pink Piglet”

My favorite ornament, and the fave of both my sons too. Is a spinner. It’s about 3 inches tall and a couple inches wide. It’s made with plastic on the top and bottom, and is clear in the middle. It has a spinner attached to the middle. When you hang it over a light, the heat makes the spinner go round. Matthew, my youngest (at 39) still loves to be the one to hang that ornament in a very prominent place so we can all see it. These ornaments were on my tree as a child, mom had a whole set. Sadly there is only one of them left. This will be my 61st Christmas, so I treasure this and a couple others that are just about as old. Thanks for triggering a great memory!
I love the look of these, very retro looking! My fav ornament we hang is a bird that used to be my grandmothers. It clips onto the tree and it is soft and glittery and beautiful. It brings back so many memories of my grandmother and our Christmas’s together.

The snowflake that you made is my absolute favor. As for my tree, my house is decorated in “upscale rustic”. Looks more like cowboy stuff to me, but my favorite ornament is a cowscull with a Santa hat on top!
My favorite ornament on my own tree is a ceramic cowskull with a Santa hat on top. My whole tree is western so it fits right in. My favorite one of yours is the snowflake! I am sooo ready for winter:)

I have lots of beautiful ornaments, but my FAVORITES are the ones my kids made me for me. The ribbon she tied on is all tattered, but every year I put that on my tree it makes me tear up with happiness. It’s the little things that make life awesome!

Grabbed you button. I don’t have a specific ornament that gets hung every year. Once my DD was old enough to help decorate I started a theme tradition with her. She picks the theme for the year and a crafting we go! We’ve done Las Vegas, Flamingos, Penguins, Cats, etc.
I love hanging my daughter’s ornaments that she made growing up. It brings up so many great memories.
I don’t have an Imagine, but I do have an early Cricut. The magazine would be a great addition to the Cricut Chirp newsletter. Of course, anything about getting the most out of all the cartridges is welcome.
Hi, i am a follower on FB, is that what you meant? Hope so. I am super excited about the new cricut magazine. You are always the first to let me know about new things for my cricut! Thanks…love, love your ornaments!! I’ve added your new blinkie to my blog. ๐

I love the 3-d ornaments. My favorite is snowflakes and anything made with ribbon. I subscribed to your site, followed your blog and added your button to my site. http://designsbytatum.blogspot.com. Thanks for sharing.
Your ornaments are pure elegance! My favorite ornament to hang on our tree, is one that my father made for each of us when he was dying. It was made of plastic canvas and yarn and it had googly eyes and you could squeeze it and on the inside was a Hershey Kiss. It was the last Christmas we spent with him and all of us had it on our gifts from my parents. My kids loved theirs and played with them every year and then my grandkids saw them and played with them as well.
Oh I love your ornaments Sarah , they are so so pretty ! You did a great job with you project ! TFS !

I like rustic-type ornaments. Each year we pick out one more. This year we have a moose coming out of a cup of hot chocolate with marshmallows hanging off his antlers – super cute!

They are all gorgeous, but my favourite would be the snowflake ornament.

Choosing which of my ornaments is my favorite is really hard as I have been collecting them for almost 40 years! I do have one that has gone on my tree every year since 1973…it is the head of a hobby horse. It is red with white trim. I took care of a little boy named Danny and he made the ornament for me. He was about 5 years old. I remember him fondly every time I put ‘his’ ornament on my tree! Thank for the chance to win!
I have grabbed your blinkie for my site. Thanks so much!
Really cute ornaments and so fast and easy with the sticky paper. Thank you for sharing and for the chance to win the blog candy.

My favorite ornament(s) to place on the tree each year are the ones I bought for my children when they were little. They are little bears with how old they were that year; 3,5,11. Later I added one more for a sweet baby girl.
I love all the ornaments. What a great idea and something different to put on the tree this year. My favorite ornament that I hang on my tree is an Angel. The angel has the Merry Christmas From Heaven Poem. This is an ornament that my sister in law gave me 5 years ago. It brings back memories of my Mother. I also grabbed your new button. Thanks for all that you share!

Love your idea, have just ordered snow angels so I’ll be busy!!
My fave Christmas ornament is one my mum gave me that hung on our tree since we were kids! It’s a little tiny father Christmas which was one of my faves as a child, we used to look at the tree for ages picking out the ornaments we had forgotten about from the previous year. We used to get sooo excited and loved the surprise of getting up in the morning to the tree up and decorated.
When I got married mum gave us all some ornaments for our own trees and these are my favourites, especially my little gold Santa that’s got hardly any glitter left now- well he is over 40 now!! Ha ha
My favorite ornament to hang would have to be my Disney ones. I get a new one each year and have been doing so for years. It is really special for me and my family.

Those are just too flippin’ cute!!!!! Can’t wait to get my grandchildren down in the craftroom when they wake up to try them. My fav ornament was burned up in our house fire I had the collection of Hallmarks for each of my children and they were cherished. Who knew a brand new just getting ready to move the stuff out of the garage house would catch fire. Oh and the Angel was an exact replica of my dd that we put on the top just too precious! Ok enough babbling I am grabbing your button gf. Hugs Alesia
Your ornaments are absolutely stunning!
My favorite ornaments to hang on the tree
are the ones that my boys have made. We have
one tree that has nothing but their homemade
ornaments… and even though they are 15 & 10
now (and do not make ornaments at school
anymore), I still get them to sit down with me
every year to make a new ornament for the tree!
Thank you so much for sharing & the chance
to win!!!

Good morning Sarah. I loved your ornaments. I just got my imagine late friday evening sitting on my door step when i got home. Yeah…. can’t wait to start using it. My favorite ornament is a little picture frame with my 2 children and all 7 of my nephew. (no nieces) We had the picture taken as a surprize to my mother for xmas. That was 16 years ago. It still takes front row center with me.

I love all of my ornaments on our tree. My mom began collecting ornaments for me when I was a baby. So each one takes me back to a different year in my life. And now I still continue the tradition by buying ornaments for my husband and myself each year.

parkernana5@cox.net
I love all of them, but the blue snowflake is my favorite..I would love to see a garland of these ๐
Sorry for two posts, but forgot to mention my favorite ornament. My grandmother loved crafts..quilting,crochet,tatting,embroidery,making paper flowers, doll making…and she made roses from styrofoam egg cartons that were really cool. I have one of her roses that I put on the tree every year. That is the one that is most special to me because I used to love crafting with her, and she had this amazing knack for turning nothing into something. She was amazing, and I miss her, and every time I sit down to make something, and every time I sit with my girls and craft, it feels like she’s with us, just like when I put that rose on our tree.
Hi Sarah – I still need to take my Imagine out of the box! I know CRAZY doesn’t stop me from buying the cartridges though. My favorite ornament to put on my tree are the ornaments that I received when my grandmother passed away that were hers. I remember her and just miss her but these remind me she is in a better place and I will see her again one day. Thanks for the blog hop!
Gorgeous job Sarah! My favorite ornament to hang is one my friend made for me in high school, and the ones from when each of my kids was born :o)
http://www.crazyaboutcricut.blogspot.com
Updated to your new button!
Love these ornaments. I have been looking for that cartridge but haven’t been able to get my hands on it yet. My favorite ornament to hang on the tree is one that my mother got for me just after my youngest son was born. It’s of Mary holding baby Jesus and they are looking at each other. She said it reminded her of the way I look at my son.
By the way I grabbed your button ๐
I am so glad that I followed Emmas blog hop I now know what I will be making the girls at work for thier christmas goodies. Ive become a follower and I will be here to watch your bow tying video. Thanks for sharing your talents. Mindy
What a great idea! I don’t have an imagine but I am going to look and see if I don’t have something from one of my other carts that I can cut and make this work. I may have to use this as a craft idea to do with my family at Thanksgiving!
Teresa
These ornaments you made are so adorable. Next to being a scrapbooking/card making addict, I’m an ornament addict. Every year I buy Hallmark ornaments that have a special meaning for that year but my favorite and most precious ornament I love to hang is an old glass ornament in the shape of a tea pot. It is the last one from a set my mom had and as kids we would fight who got to put it on the tree. When my mom passed away 13 years ago I got this ornament and every year it gets placed gently and securely at the top center of the tree just under the angel in remembrance of her. Thanks for your wonderful ideas and for this opportunity to share our favorite ornament.
TTFN Debby
my favorite ornaments are the ones that wepicked up on vacation or the ones that just represent us.
love the ornaments they are so pretty
cute ornaments! They’d be perfect for the bottom of the tree so my son doesn’t break anything. ๐ My favorite ornament would probably be… that’s too hard! I’d actually have to say it’d be my angel tree topper. I searched high and low for the perfect one.
Wow! Those looked so easy to make. ALMOST makes me want to get an Imagine.
Love the idea! Falls under the “why didn’t I think of that!??” I love putting out my boys “special” ornaments from when they where born.
