Okay, it’s not technically a magic trick–but, in my book it is!
I think it ranks up there with my MAT cleaning trick! ๐ IF you haven’t seen that–it’s a must-see– Just Click here to view it!
If you know me….you know I love Glue Dots. ย I suspect I spend a small fortune each year on these little blobs of glue!
So, I thought it would be fun and beneficial to make my own Dots of Glue. ย Yes, I am crazy–my mom taught me at a young age that I could make almost anything myself–and it turns out she was right~
Do you think this is a magic trick you will use?
AWESOME!!!! I am totally going to do this!! Thanks!! ๐
You never cease to amaze me. Seriously. I wish you were my neighbor and I could keep learning from you all day long.
Thanks Sarah!
Sarah, This is absolutely wonderful!!!! I will be heading to Michaels later to try for myself!!! TFS!

You’re so CLEVER!!! thanks for sharing!
Sarah I love this idea. I totally agree with your mom. Thanks so much for sharing. I’m getting this stuff. I’ve got a tip for you. I took a index card book put my touchs on it and than I made samples of all my cuttlebugs, borader punches and typed out all the carts I have and I carry it in my purse all the time. I also use it for stuff I need like if I need glue dots or there’s a punch I want I write it down. Cause I’m like a kid in a candy store LOL when I get in the store and see all the stuff I end up getting everything but what I went in there for LOL. I know it may take awhile to get it done, But once you get it done it’s easy to keep up with. Just my little tip for you.
Have a wonderful Day
Debbie

Love this idea. So Clever. Not so sure about the brake cleaner for cleaning mats. I did one of my really bad ones and all the green came off. I might have done something wrong–guess I might try it one more time on another one.
Oh man I really hope you’re not just now “figuring” this out…I’ve been doing this for ages.
definitely going to do this!!! Thanks!
Great idea!! I love that I have everything I need to make my own glue dots! Thanks so much for sharing this video with us!!!
You are so creative. TFS!!!
Brilliant!! TFS, that can save so much money!!! ๐
Another great idea!
The green and white also came off my mats using the brake cleaner, but it didn’t seem to matter….
I’m giving it a try. Thanks for sharing this. It sure would save a ton of money cause I go through them like crazy too.
I did know this little trick and love it… try adding some extra fine glitter on it before it dries, and then I use my paper punch.. something sharp to take it off the paper and use it as a sparkly embellishment. ๐
wait wait.. not my paper punch but my paper piercer.. lol
Amazing. I love it!
Love this quick tip so much I HAD to reshare it on Facebook!! Thanks so much for all of your great ideas.
I wanted to share one with you. Have you ever made your own scratch tickets??

WOW I love this Sara, can’t tell you how much I spend on glue dots, Like the idea of the long skinny ones. Is parchment & wax paper the same thing? Thanks for sharing.
Thanks! very cool – could be useful!
Sandra
Did you know that you can sprinkle embossing powder on glue dots and get neat accents? Works really well on the large ones. I used copper embossing powder and made my own “copper” brads! lol
That is awesome! I’m gonna have to try this….TFS!
Did you know you can emboss glue dot? I used copper embossing powder and got “copper” brads! lol Neat huh?
You are so smart. We have got to come up with a name for you, right now I just think of you as the Queen of Neat Ideas. Thank you for sharing. I love it when you come up with something like this to make things cheaper for us. Keep those creative juices flowing.
ty so much for the idea. i love it. will try this. xoxo
thank you Sarah you are so amazing really, you come up with some really great ideas I wish I could be like you love all you do Debbie ๐
This is fantastic! I will definetly do it. I tried the cutting mat thing. I used glue gone and it worked great, but I must have gotten the wrong spray adhesive because it was so sticky I couldn’t get my cuttings off of it. !
Ok, so I watched your video and got all excited because I use glue dots like there’s no tomorrow. Only one problem, no parchment paper. BUT I did have some backing from my transfer tape laying around. It works fabulous. My dots only took about two hours to dry clear and I love them. TFS
I’ve been making my own glue dots like this for almost a year. I LOVE them! I use the backing of stickers or labels – just a way to recycle the stuff.
Does it have to be that brand of glue? Thanks for sharing your ideas!
QUESTION: I would like to try this trick but was wondering how well it glues stuff together. I usually use glue dots when I REALLY need for something to glue and hold real good like ribbon or something that doesn’t glue as good. As the results as good as the store-bought glue dots? Thanks for sharing!
