HSN Cricut Imagine DETAILS

UPDATED at 10:00pm CST!!
** For all of my working friends, who need to get up in the morning…you can purchase the Imagine now for $499~ Remember– to order online to get the NO TAX– Click here

****According to my friend Andrea– You can use the coupon before launch (has a max of $50), but you can only order over the phone and you will get charged tax. Currently it is 529.99 so after coupon, and tax for my area it would be over $499. It will probably be the Item of the Day at launch she said, and then you cannot use the coupon.

If it really is only $499.99 it will be cheaper online at launch if your state does not charge taxes on internet purchases.

Also, the item code for those wondering is: 965121

Ok my super-sweet friend….Meriah called HSN, and this is what she found out!!

  • Yes you can buy the machine right now.
  • However if, you order online when it becomes available you do not get charged any tax. (You cannot use the 15% coupon because it will probably be the “today’s special,” but it is still worth a try! It won’t hurt anything–but, is only good for those who are first time HSN shoppers)
  • Coupon Code is C77414 and does work on the Imagine! 🙂  She checked the coupon code just to make sure.  The Imagine will be available online around midnight.
  • Free shipping.
  • Flex pay payments of 99.99 for 5 months.

Buy Now Pay Later with Flex Pay at HSN

  • Also. the package deal  comes with 2 extra carts besides the imagine cart, best friends and Nursery Tails.  So you will be getting a total of 3 great Imagine carts! Plus a sheet of printable vinyl!!

and if you are a Circle MEMBER–you get an additional cartridge, if you order at the premier!

* note- if the deal changes–please don’t shoot the messenger 🙂

  • I’m still not convinced I NEED this!! I know I WANT it, but.. ya know… the price is still a lil steep for me. 🙁 Thanks for the info Sarah.. you totally ROCK!!!

  • I agree, a little steep for me as well. But still want to see it being demonstrated. What time will it be on?

Another question is this: do you know if those cartridges will work on regular Cricut machines?

  • Would be first timer to HSN,price a little to high for me & I still want to know how much ink cartridges are, special mats, approxiamately how long they will last.

  • Do we know what the design cart’s and ink cart’s/refills will cost? I am torn, because not only is it $500 which I think is really steep, but how much will it cost in the long run to use and enjoy it?

  • Thanks for the heads up!!! I know I want this machine. It’s going to be my Christmas gift to myself. I must agree that $500 is alot of money, but the flex pays really help soften the blow.

  • Thanks for the info….. sure am trying NOT to purchase this item at this time but….
it is so tempting especially with 4 carts…..

  • I just got a cricut newsletter and it has a FAQ’s link at the top regarding the Imagine. Pretty well all the questions everyone has like cost of ink cartridges ($34.95 and $39.95 for black and color respectively) as well as lots of technical questions are answered on that FAQ’s link. I checked it out. Pretty great info. Hope this helps!

    • Theresa, it is my understanding that all NEW HSN customers can use the 15% off coupon on the Imagine, when buying online. That is what I was told, but I am not HSN and I am sure they reserve the right to change their minds – but as of this post I was told that NEW HSN customers could use the 15% off coupon on this.

  • I would REALLY like to see this up close and in person but still even with 15% off and flex pay it is still TO MUCH monies for a printer. I am not saying I am not curious about it but the curiousity has reached the level for me to jump on board and order it.

  • How do you become a Circle Member? If you have already bought from them before, then you can’t use coupon. It would only seem that being a CM would mean you’ve shopped from them before right? If so, then if we are, we don’t get discount but extra cart. But if we are not, we don’t get it? Seems like a lose situation in a way. Did I read it wrong??

  • Here is the latest scoop I got from HSN Rep. You can use the coupon before launch (has a max of $50), but you can only order over the phone and you will get charged tax. Currently it is 529.99 so after coupon, but with 7.5% sales tax for my area it would be $515.98. It will probably be the Item of the Day at launch she said, and then you can not use coupon. If it really is only $499.99 it will be cheaper online at launch if your state does not charge taxes on internet purchases. Plus if you are a U-Promise college savings member, you can get 5% back on internet purchases on HSN. P.S. I was told it also has 1 printable vinyl sheet in bundle. Also, please don’t shoot the messenger if anything changes between now and then.

  • Update…. They have added it to website just now. It is $499, you can order it now, NO tax (if your state does not charge it) or shipping but will not accept coupon. Just ordered it. Woohoo, I do not have to stay up till midnight now. That would have made for a long day tomorrow with my toddler classroom 🙂

  • I think it’s a pretty cool machine – but not $500 worth of cool. Considering how cheap you can get a great printer from HP (or Epson, etc) and the expressions are only around $200 now, I think I’ll wait and continue to accent my cuts by hand with chalk, etc, since the photos, and not the accents, are supposed to be the focus of the scrapbook pages anyway. I could MAYBE see a $300-350 price point on this. I’ll wait. Prices will come down in about 6 months anyway, just like the Gypsy. (Which I got for $120 new 6 months after launch).

  • I ordered the Imagine from HSN and whether you ordered it by phone or over the internet, if you live in Florida you were charged State Tax. It is my understanding that anywhere Home Shopping Network is located, your charged the taxes. I do agree the machine is pricey, but after looking at what was included in the package and the flex plans, I could not resist. The new Imagine cartridges are awesome.
