I am having a VERY happy Wednesday! 🙂
I have lots to do today–but, the morning started off so great–that it’s just going to be a Happy, HAPPY DAY!
My husband, son and I walked our daughter to the bus stop–and then we went to get a latte from Caribou– before hubby went to work.
Mmm…Caramel High Rise!
Then, I got some fun goodies in the mail from the SEI monthly club–and NOW, I get to pick a random winner of the Cri-Kits! 🙂
But, first let me tell you about this Friday! I will be going to a Cricut Circle meetup, where I will get to meet some of my Cricut Circle Friends–so exciting!
For the meetup we’ve been asked to bring “calling cards” and a “recipe layout”…along w/ another thing–that I will wait to tell you about! So, I wanted to share my calling cards with you all!
Basically a calling card is a little piece of art that is 3×3 art, that you write your vitals on the back of — Name, email, etc. That way you can share them w/ the people you meet at Cricut gatherings!
It took me awhile to figure out what I wanted to do with mine, but I am very pleased with how they turned out! I made 40 of these!
I chose a coffee cup, shiny PINK paper and the word Create! I love all of those things, so I thought it would be perfect for my Calling Card– my info is printed on the back!
I used DCWV paper, D’vine Swirls Embssing Folder, Corner chomper to round 2 of the corners and pop dots for the coffee cups!
Here is a closeup!
Do you think they look like Pink Cricut??
Okay– now for the WINNER of the Cri-Kits (Your choice of color: Metallic, Regular/Neon, Glitter or Pastel)
I loved reading all about your favorite teachers–some were funny and some were touching–they were all worth reading–so take a moment and check out all the comments about how IMPORTANT of a role teachers play every single day! They are one of the most underpaid positions in the world–because of the drastic impact they have on the lives of so many— 🙂 We should all take the time to thank a teacher–because they are truly what shapes our world! Okay…the winner is….
Faith
I have had a lot of favorite teachers but the one that takes the cake for all time favorite teacher ever is Mike Weinstein. He was my HS history teacher, and later became my foster dad. He’s my favorite because he was strict but funny and he always believed in me…sometimes when no one else did.
I remember when kids would fall asleep in his class he’d have all of us who were awake take our big huge honkin’ history books and throw them on the floor to make a loud noise and then laugh when the sleeping student got startled. He would also bang his golf club on the under side of the sleeping student’s desk too. It was so funny and no, I NEVER fell asleep in his class.
As a foster dad he opened his heart and home to me in a way I had never imagined and, though it’s been years since I’ve seen or talked to him, I still admire him and think of him often.
Thanks for the chance to win!
