One of my biggest weaknesses is Cinnamon Rolls…I could seriously eat a whole pan of them!
But, I am picky about the cinnamon roll–it has to be homemade, s
oft, gooey, and it has to have cream cheese frosting or no frosting at all.
Other than that–they can be cold, warm, hot– a day old or fresh out of the oven– 🙂
Since some of you requested my recipe– here it is! 🙂
Ingredients:
1 cup warm milk 2 eggs 1/3 c butter 4 1/2 cup flour 1 t salt 1 packet yeastFilling
1 cup brown sugar 2 1/2 T cinnamon 1/3 c butterAdd warm milk to yeast-let sit for a few minutes to activate yeast. Â Add remaining ingredients, and knead dough.
Let rise for 1 hour, Roll into 16×21 rectangle
Mix up the Filling ingredients and Spread with 1/3 cup butter and sprinkle w/ sugar and cinnamon mixture
Roll up dough and cut into 12 rolls–and take a little taste (YUMMY)
Preheat oven to 400
Place in 9×13 pan- cover and let rise 30 minutes
Bake in ove approx 15 minutes
Frosting:
3 oz cream cheese 1/4 cup butter 1 1/2 c powdered sugar 1/2 t vanilla 1/8 t saltBeat cream cheese, butter, sugar, vanilla and salt– and spread on top of baked cinnamon rolls
