Hey everyone! As some of you know, Pink by Design came out with wafer-thin dies that coordinate with some of our stamps last month! I promised I would do a quick video on how to use them in your embossing/die-cutting machines…. and here it is! See  how easy that is–and you can use it in your Cuttlebug, your Big Shot, your Vagabond, etc. Here’s a few more details about the dies! Each die features a sturdy “cut” blade attached to a solid backing that is laser cut within a 1/16″ of the blade. This allows you to use the die for a few special techniques, as well as making placement a breeze. Pink by Design dies cut more than just paper. They will also cut: Felt, fabric, cork, magnetic sheets, metal, polyshrink, clear cardstock and adhesive-backed canvas.  Want to...

Pillow Box Talk

I love a good pillow box!  They are the perfect size for a little treat! I bought the wedding cartridge solely for the pillow box–crazy, I know 😉 But…it sure comes in handy….Now, the pillow box on the wedding cartridge, has an image on the front of the box, but you can hide contour that shape, and have a plain ol’ pillow box!  Yay! Since, I have a friend who is getting married in January- I thought I’d do a little example of what her favors could look like using a clear pillow box.  You can buy clear card stock at Michael’s. Here’s what I came up with: OF course she’d have different candy in it–and probably a different sentiment…but, it was just to give her an idea.  The sentiment is from Here Comes the Bride and the ribbon...

Hi everyone and Happy Wednesday!! Last night we had parent-teacher conferences for my 1st grader- which they always correlate with the School Book Fair– which means I get to spend money on books, which I love!  The kids got to pick out 2 books each– my daughter picked out the new Shel Silverstein book of poetry and the chapter book, Dolphin Tale….and my son picked out a 3d bug book and a Football pen 😉 Alexis’ conference went great- and we picked up Wendy’s for dinner– lol  They’ve reformulated their burgers or something…and they are really YUMMY…and they even come in these cute little half-boxes, which makes you feel like you are eating something gourmet, kinda.  Packaging does matter to us, doesn’t it? So…let’s take a look at this fun little Halloween packaging I made last night Okay… 1...

Hi everyone and welcome to another Stamptastic Tuesday! In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we are featuring 2 stamp sets today:  Save the Tatas and Breast Wishes.    I am so excited for today- because we have double the amount of people to show off these fabulous stamp sets! Emily from Create Serendipity, Liz from 217 Creations and Momo from Made by Momo are joining Paula, Meriah and myself.   Here is my project for today-   For this card, I used a Spellbinders inside my Tim Holtz Vagabond, using this technique– and I paper pieced the stamps to make them look like they were filled in with patterns.  Its super easy to do this with this stamp set, because each stamp only needs to be stamped on a patterned paper of your choice, and then cut out....
