Hi everyone and Happy Thursday!  Today the AWESOME Close to my Heart cartridge is finally available to purchase!! Artbooking is an awesome cartridge, and I’ve prepared a video for you to show you how awesome it is…and how easy it is to put together layouts with it! Who needs to catch up on layouts?  I know I do! Here’s the fun stuff I used in this 2 page layout: I can’t believe how easy it was to put this 2 page layout together–no drawing blanks for this girl!  Just cut and go! I even added SEQUINS!! Sequins can be for boys too! Don’t you love the one-piece titles and borders? Love, love, love how quick this went together! I also love that they didn’t forget the mats when doing the layouts on each page! These are the only 2...

Hi Everyone and Happy Wednesday!  We are still getting snow here, and things are looking white & wintry. But, the kids got to come home early from school yesterday which is always nice- and we cooked a new recipe for dinner together, which was a BIG hit with everyone!  I will have to share the recipe with you all later this week. Today, I wanted to show off my new DCWV Sunday Afternoon stack…which I completely ADORE!  The papers in it are so gorgeous!  You can find this stack at Michael’s.   Also, I have a Pink by Design sneak on this layout…well, actually kinda 2, if you count next month’s Stamp of the Month…which is a MUST HAVE! Here are the materials I used: DCWV Sunday Afternoon, Pink by Design Say it Boldly, the March Pink by Design...

Layouts & a Peek at my Room

Hi everyone and Happy Monday!! It is definitely a Happy Monday here- because we get to go see our little one on the ultrasound.  Hopefully the technician can get the shots she needs, since baby was not cooperative last time.  I will also be taking my dreaded glucose test! This past weekend, I decided to pull out some of the Echo Park Photo Freedom sets I have- and use my instragram photos to make a couple layouts.  I developed my instragram photos from Foxgram.com.  They were inexpensive and quick, and the quality is just what I’d hoped for. I tend to struggle with ‘Project Life’ type layouts- working in small sections to fill up 12×12 page.  But, I think I will get more comfortable the more I do layouts in this way.  This first layout I used the Echo...

Hi everyone and Happy Wednesday!  Today I have a double page layout for you- featuring pictures I snapped of my little girl at the park, on a regular day, doing regular things.  I love these types of pictures the best because at her age, the smiles seem more genuine and natural–the camera can capture laughs, giggles, coy looks, and more…. I used DCWV Card stock (brown), Echo Park This & That Collection (polka dots and brown graph), Simple Stories Fab{u}lous collection, canvas material, burlap material, Tim Holtz Bigz Tattered Florals for canvas and burlap, shell buttons, Memento Rich Cocoa ink, Pink by Design My Type stamp set, Pink Paislee Wood Shop Alphabet (wood chip) and twine. Using the Bigz die and Tim Holtz Vagabond- I cut out several flowers in both canvas and burlap material. I’ve found that bigz dies...

Hi everyone and Happy Thursday! Hope everyone is having a great Fall week. Today, I have a double page layout for you- featuring my little guy. I love to use big pictures so I used 2 5×7 photos- and 4 4×4 photos. The papers I used are: American Crafts lt gray cardstock, Paper Studio dark gray cardstock, Echo Park A Boy’s Life. I also used Making Memories orange metal signage, My Mind’s Eye The Sweetest Thing Enamel Dots, and American Crafts Dear Lizzie Chevron ribbon. I love, love, love these pictures of my little guy–they were just candid shots of him- at the park playing.   Also, even though he is being ornery in this picture- it really captures his silliness- so I definitely wanted to include this picture and in a larger size. Have a great Thursday everyone!!...

Happy Wednesday!

Hi everyone and Happy Wednesday! 1/2 way through the week! Doesn’t it feel great? We’ve had a little taste of fall weather here, with temperatures dipping into the 40’s, but today it is supposed to be a high of 80. We’ve been taking full advantage of the fall weather, by making soups, turning on the fireplace, and bundling up in scarves and boots. Yesterday, was my first day volunteering in Jaxen’s Kindergarten classroom.  But, after a couple incidences last week- I wanted to be sure he didn’t have any special rules for me.  (Let’s do a little backtracking….Incidence 1… Bus stop, cool older boys were complaining about getting kisses from their mothers, suddenly little buddy doesn’t want a goodbye kiss from his mom….sad face.  Incidence 2…walking towards the school, and getting close to the building, buddy drops my hand...
