Neon Stamped Card

Hi everyone and Happy Monday!

Today is my little girl’s first day of 4th grade.  Jaxen won’t start school until Thursday, so I have a few more days home with him….and Grayson, well he won’t start school for a long while.  He says, he just wants to stay home and snuggle me forever and I am okay with that!

Anyway, like every year- I make my kids a card for their first day of school, and here is the one for Alexis.

Whether she saves these cards or not, is hard to know.  But, I know this blog will still be floating around in cyberspace.  So….

Alexis,

I am so proud of the young lady you are becoming.  You are beautiful on the inside and out.  Your kindness and willingness to help others would make any mother proud.  I am so honored to have been blessed with such an amazing daughter.  As you face this year of 4th grade, remember that I love you more than I could ever say.  Some days may be challenging and you may find yourself sad at something someone has said or done.  But, remember that at the end of the day I will be here, waiting for you;  to listen, to give you a hug and most of all to be in your corner.   Make good choices.  Stand up for what you think is right. Be sweet to the new girl, be respectful to your teachers and to your peers, smile at others and if  a boy asks you to go around the building to talk- say no.

I love you– and I know you are going to ROCK the 4th grade because after all, YOU are WICKED COOL…and brilliant…and wonderful.

  1. Love the colors! I’m pretty sure I have large images or flourishes like that too, but I’ve never used them. The different colors would be a great way to dress it up yet still keep it the focal point of the card.

Such a sweet note to Alexis! I love how you remind her that you will be waiting for her at the end of the day regardless of what happens and that you encourage her to be sweet and respectful to those around her … minus any potential boys~ too cute!

Hope she has a great first day!
