PBD Valentine’s Blog Hop
Hi everyone and welcome to the Pink by Design Valentine’s Blog Hop! Today the design team has an awesome lineup for you hop through and feel the LOVE! Plus, there is a great prize up for grabs! For my project today, I wanted to challenge myself to use the same supplies to make 2 different cards. The supplies I used are: Fancy Pants LOVE 6×6 stack, 3 Girl Jam Crinkle Ribbon, Cuttlebug Charlie Embossing folder, and the Pink by Design Hubba, Hubba stamp set.
The first card I made was a classic Valentine- complete with a big heart! I embossed the large heart, which I cut out with my cameo. I used the Stampin’ Up border punch to make a decorative bottom edge, and matted various patterns of paper from the Love stack. The sentiment is from the Hubba, Hubba stamp set.
The second card I made focused more on the Hubba, Hubba stamp set. I paper pieced the submarine together- using papers from the Love stack. The gray paper (also from the same stack) was debased with the same embossing folder.
By, embossing with your paper facing one way you get 1 look and by simply turning the paper over you get a much different look. Here are closeups of the differences.
Here’s the ‘right’ way–with the embossed pattern popping up.
And, here is the look of the debossing, with the pattern going ‘in’.
