Sneak Peeks

Posted by on Feb 28, 2013 in Uncategorized | 2 comments

Hi everyone and Happy Thursday! We had a snow day here yesterday, but Mr. Pink took the kids with him for the morning and I got some work done. Then in the afternoon we made Snow Cream with the freshly fallen snow. Today I wanted to share a couple sneaks with you for the Pink by Design stamp release scheduled for Friday the 15th!   The first sneak is this adorable card made by Liz from 217 Creations. Her coloring really highlights the cute new PBD image designed by Lisa Norris. The next one I want to show you is from the craft desk of Meriah from Two Scraptastic Gals– I can’t get over how cute the colors are in this adorable tag! This sentiment is from one of our fun new Half Pint collection!   Be sure to...

Hi Everyone and Happy Wednesday!  We are still getting snow here, and things are looking white & wintry. But, the kids got to come home early from school yesterday which is always nice- and we cooked a new recipe for dinner together, which was a BIG hit with everyone!  I will have to share the recipe with you all later this week. Today, I wanted to show off my new DCWV Sunday Afternoon stack…which I completely ADORE!  The papers in it are so gorgeous!  You can find this stack at Michael’s.   Also, I have a Pink by Design sneak on this layout…well, actually kinda 2, if you count next month’s Stamp of the Month…which is a MUST HAVE! Here are the materials I used: DCWV Sunday Afternoon, Pink by Design Say it Boldly, the March Pink by Design...

There are games going on & prizes! You get to guess when the baby is going to be born in an online baby pool, vote on names- and more! You should come over and play with us! If you don’t facebook, you can at least take part in the baby pool for a chance to win a Mary Kay gift set. The first game was last night- where people guessed the answers to some tough questions– the person with the closest answers was: Michell Pineda. I will answer the questions later on in the fb group. Okay, today is Link Up Tuesday, where I want to see what YOU...

Cute Burp Cloths

Hi everyone and Happy Monday!  We had a great weekend here, and I even did a little sewing. I decided since I started off with the baby quilt, maybe I should back it up a little and work on something a little simpler.  (I am still working on the binding of my quilt, but I wanted to practice on some corners before finishing it off.) The simplest thing I could think of was a burp cloth, and how nice is it to have custom burp cloths?  They are so much better than store bought ones.  So, I picked up some striped chenille at Joann’s which is 1/2 off right now- and also some flannel fat quarters.  They were on sale also!   I hadn’t planned on using flannel, but there weren’t a ton of cute boy patterns, and these...

Quick Cards using DCWV 6×12

Posted by on Feb 21, 2013 in Cards, Crafting, Uncategorized | 10 comments

Hi everyone and Happy Thursday!  We are supposed to start getting snow this afternoon and it is supposed to snow all through the night and all through tomorrow. I can’t say I am not ready for Spring, but I love snow too! Since I’ve been working with fabric and painting the baby’s room…I haven’t had a ton of time to  paper craft, but I did need a couple of quick cards.  I thought the new DCWV 6×12 Chickadee was PERFECT to make a couple quick cards.  Not only are the colors gorgeous in this stack, but the pretty scalloped edges make a fun and pretty card!  You can find this stack for yourself at Michael’s. I took 2 sheets of the double sided paper and folded into cards, trimming the excess.  I used the excess for the sentiments and...
