Sales

Hi everyone and Happy Wednesday! Today I want to stress how important it is not to forget the small businesses out there during the holiday season. I am a small business owner, so I know how every sale counts! It’s easy for the little guys to get lost in the shuffle among the ‘big boy’ ads and sales. I am not saying I won’t be making any purchases with the big boys, but- I am going to try to keep most of my shopping at small businesses.

I would rather see my dollars helping a families put Christmas dinner under the table, a mom to put gifts under the tree for her babies and a dad to put a special gift under the tree for his wife- or in this economic time…maybe it’ll just help with keeping the heat on.

And as for the crafty big box stores, this year… They don’t have a ton of great stuff to rush out for! Walmart doesn’t have any Cricut stuff announced, Joann’s highlight is a $80 pink baby bug, and Michaels highlight are $24 cartridges. These are too much like their regular any day sales.

So you can find tons of small businesses on etsy.com – and probably even some small shops in your hometown like local scrapbooking stores! Small businesses are even offering special sales for the holidays-

Some good deals going on this week- that I’ve seen!

Here are some deals going on at ScrapbookPal.com

Scrapbuck.com has some great deals on Spellbinders right now- some under $10! And, they have free shipping with orders of $20!

;
Also, there are some good deals on the must-have Silhouette Cameo, but the lowest I’ve seen is $219 at craftvinyl.com, but it will be limited quantities so you’ll have to act fast on Black Friday. Otherwise, several small online companies are offering them at about $229.
;
Please feel free to use the comment section to mention your own personal small business with a link! :)

Also, I will not be posting tomorrow or Friday, like I usually do- because I will be taking the time to spend with my family! But, know that this Thanksgiving I am thankful for YOU!

Enjoy your Thanksgiving and time with your loved ones!

  2. Thank you Sarah, I totally agree with you! Small businesses is where it is AT! I too, have looked for good deals at the big stores, but am not too excited. This year I will focus on spending time with family and not worrying about shopping. I will have plenty of time for that in the coming weeks!

  3. I am so happy to support the small business. I manage a small educational book store and I so appreciate our local support! I have enjoyed all of the sets of stamps I have of yours and look forward to purchasing more. Thank you for all you do.
