Happiness
Hi everyone and Happy Wednesday! I am SOOO glad to be back to my blog and to you all!
First, today I wanted to show you a quick picture of the girls I cropped with this past weekend. Liz from 217 Creations and Jessica from Homespun Elegance both came up from Kansas City- and Julie from 3 Girl Jam also met with us on Friday, Saturday and Sunday to crop and shop! It was a great time!

I worked on mostly layouts at the crop- which is what I usually do– (I’ve only been to 3 crops my whole life!) Anyway- I like to catch up on the things I have fallen behind on! What I do, is I grab paper packs and coordinating embellishments and then group them with pictures I think will go with that set. I throw it all in a JUMBO ziplock bag (my friend Paula taught me this) and then away I go– when I get there, I grab a bag and get to work!
The layout below was Jessica’s favorite that I did- because I was really trying my best to make a layout that had lots of open space. I struggled because I wanted to keep filling it up- but, I knew I wanted to try something different. For the entire crop, I tended to stick with Bazzil kraft cardstock- it’s my favorite color right now.

Most of the patterned papers come from the Echo Park This & That collection- except for the aqua which came from….my scrap stash
(that’s code word for ‘I have no idea.’)

The & sign came from a table at the crop where you leave stuff and pick up stuff that you could use. Great idea- though, I had the wrong idea coming into it. I thought you were supposed to bring like old Spellbinders you didn’t want any more–not chipboard pieces! HA! Anyway- then, the canvas fabric I stamped with the Pink by Design My Favorite Kind stamp set.
I love this layout- because of it’s simplicity, the soft colors and the sweet picture of Jaxen and his daddy.
Have you done any layouts lately?

I absolutely adore this layout!! And one of my favorite little men, Jaxen!!

I love this Sarah…so simple and awesome! Great pic, too!
It’s a beautifully done layout! I like the simplicity of it so that you can focus on the adorable picture of your two men!
Love the colors, the picture and how you used sentiments! I have been busy with making birthday cards and gifts, getting my house in order and getting my daughter well, so no scrapping right now:-( but hopefully soon!!!
Cute layout – and you were right to leave it without any distraction from that awesome “moment in time” picture you used!
