Layout with a Mat Trick

Layout with a Mat Trick

Hi everyone and Happy Monday!  We had a nice weekend at my parent’s where I did a make and take for the ladies at my mom’s church.  They all caught on very quickly, and liked their projects!

Today I have a video, showing you a great little tip on how to transfer those itty bitty letters and intricate designs from your mat to your project.  A sweet lady from The Scrapbook Page in Kansas City, shared this tip- and asked if I had tried it….I said, no- but told her I would and that I would make a video.

So here it is:

Isn’t that awesome? I love it!!

Now here’s the finished layout- of my son from last year at the Iowa State Fair.

Oh- and I thought you guys might like it if I shared the file with you- so here’s the free SIL file -of the title I used on my layout.  Just click the pink button below, to download.  If you missed my KERMIT THE FROG file, you can get it here.

Have a great week everyone! Oh, and if you haven’t linked up this week- you have til midnight tonight to link up- this week I am shopping for myself and one lucky linker.

  1. Very cool trick! It’s one of those where I’ve slapped my head and said, “Wellllll, duhhhhh, why didn’t I think of that?!” I’ll be using this one over and over again. Thank you for sharing!
