Snowman Family
Happy Monday Everyone!
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving with your family and friends–and had time to eat and hug on those you love!
While my family was here- my mom and sister joined me in my craft room to play a little!
I had seen this cute tutorial on a diorama-on childmadetutorials using a glove to make snowmen...and I wanted to give it a try!

I took a frame I picked up at the Dollar Tree that was made like a shadow box- it doesn’t say ‘shadow box’ on the frame…but you can tell by the depth of the frame, that it can be used as a shadow box frame.
I then took gloves also from the Dollar Tree and cut across the bottom of the fingers (leaving them attached) since there are only 4 in our family. I used the color gloves for hats by tying the top of the finger tips with a string and snipping the finger of the glove short.
And then I went to town- decorating!
I used googly eyes and Bling Zots to adhere– ribbon and fabric to make scarves, pom-poms and embroidery thread to make earmuffs for Mr. Pink- paper for carrot noses and a pipe, adhesive pears and rhinestones and DCWV glittery Winter paper.
I then used the Cherry Limeade cartridge with my gypsy (to weld the letters) to cut out our names in pink vinyl! Did you know it is SUPER easy to transfer vinyl to glass?
Well- we had SO much fun working on my snowman family–that we decided to make one for my parents and my sister too!
My dad has a cigar and my mom has ‘heart’ lips and a pearl necklace.
We thought it would be fun to do a primitive version with no eyes- a fancy scarf, 3d snowflakes and a primitive heart brad for my sister. This frame did not come from the dollar tree, it was one we re-did that used to be in my kitchen
I hope you are inspired to make your own Snowman Family- and I’d love to see it if you decide to make one!!
Have a great week everyone!
