Posted by on May 31, 2011 in 3d, Crafting, Gift ideas, Layouts, Party Ideas, Uncategorized | 11 comments

to all of the Kindergarteners out there—and their great moms and dads! Today, my little girl graduates Kindergarten–so she went to school in her pink, sparkly dress, hair curled and a shining star necklace that I gave her in her little graduation cap box. The instructions on how to make this quick and cute little box are on the new Pink by Design Blog , in case you missed them last week!   Also, for today- I have a layout I did– I wanted to use the DCWV Colorful Life paper that I got ages ago–and haven’t used yet. This stack has such beautiful pieces of art for each page–that you hardly need to put anything on the pages—and they could still be pretty enough to hang on your wall.   When I originally started this layout–I thought I...

Sneaky Guest Designer

Posted by on May 27, 2011 in Cards, Crafting, Cricut, Uncategorized | 13 comments

Happy Friday!! Today I am a guest designer for Monique and Wendy today at Monique Griffith Designs! I had the pleasure of meeting these super-sweet ladies at Winter CHA- and they are both so beautiful inside and out! Here we are waiting to go into the Gala (Emma, Monique, Wendy, and me) Okay-for today’s project Monique and Wendy asked me to do a Breast Cancer awareness project- which was perfect timing- since we are releasing 2 Breast Cancer Awareness stamp sets next week! (HUGE SNEAK ALERT) I did a 5×5 inch square card–using the DCWV Blossom Stack and the Forever Young Cricut Cartridge. I embossed the dark pink layer with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder, and the light pink layer with D’vine Swirls. (I think these are the 2 folders I use the most) I layered it on top of a...

Almost thru the Week

It’s almost Friday–we are almost there—with as rainy as it’s been and with all the tornadoes going around, I am ready for a picturesque Memorial Day weekend- with sunshine and a little relaxing.   Not sure if we will get one–but, that is my wish for EVERYONE this coming weekend! Today I made a cute little card using a Greeting Farm stamped girl- that I colored in with Copics.  I also added a sentiment from the Pink by Design Life’s a Garden stamp set. I love this stamp set because it is so very versatile! I put the sentiment on a Tim Holtz placecard holder pin (I’m not sure what they’re really called–but, this seems like a good name!) I thought it gave it the feel of a garden stake. I also have a quick under 45 second Gypsy...
